Former Governor Jesse Ventura continues series of endorsements of Libertarian Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson while promoting his new book DemoCRIPS and ReBLOODlicans: No More Gangs in Government.

An blog titled: “Jesse Ventura: A Surfer’s Road Trip to Gary Johnson” posted earlier today included the following ABC News/Yahoo News “Top Line: Politics Inside Out” video with the following exchange:

VENTURA: “(Republicans and Democrats) are a gang just like the street gangs only they wear Brooks Brothers suits.

WALTER:  What are you telling people to do . . . should they just stay home?

VENTURA:  No!  You can vote for former Governor Gary Johnson like I’m going to do.  He’s the Libertarian candidate.  We were governors at the same time.  He’s a wonderful guy.  All the people out there that are dissatified, here’s their opportunity to truly send a message to Washington: Don’t vote for a Democrat or a Republican.  I have never voted for one in my life and I never will.

Steven, I didn’t hear any insults in there, just that he’s not a registered Libertarian.

    Here’s a transcript starting at 13:25 in —

VENTURA: First thing they can do, and I urge all the Ron Paul supporters, and there’s a lot of them out there, apparently the Congressman is now getting out of the race because he can’t get the Republican nominee (sic). And it’s too late for him to get ballot access on his own to be a third party. But remember something; Ron Paul was a Libertarian in 1988. Now the Libertarian Party has a tremendous candidate this year. It’s former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson, a former moderate Republican who was basically shelved and booted out of the Republican Party. He is running. I want all the Ron Paul supporters, and I being one of them, please; Vote for Governor Gary Johnson for President. If he would be allowed in the debates, that’s the key; they won’t allow any third voice in the debates. But if you vote for Governor Johnson and he gets even 10 to 15 percent of the vote, it’ll send shock waves through this system. And I urge people, Gary Johnson, the former Governor of New Mexico is the Libertarian candidate for President.

    WILSON: We’ve had him on a couple of times. . . . I am a libertarian, but I’m not a capital L Libertarian.

    VENTURA: Neither am I.

WILSON: As you know, the Libertarian Party is no different than any other party, they’ve just got better ideas. Of course they never put up any money to run campaigns which is kind of insane . . What do you say, Governor, to the person who says to you, Well Jesse, yeah right, vote for Gary Johnson, it’s just a wasted vote; we’ve got to get Obama out?

VENTURA: I’ve got a great answer to that! They did the same thing to me in Minnesota. The media said, If you vote for Jesse you’ve wasted your vote, he can’t win. Well, you’re not out to pick a winner. It isn’t a horse race. You’re to vote for the person you most want to be the President, not whether they win or lose. And let’s reverse that for a minute. I’ll say this, If you vote for a Democrat or a Republican, you’ve wasted your vote, because you’re going to get the same damn thing. That’s all you’re going to get. Bought out by corporations; bought out by bribery. So if you vote for a Democrat or a Republican . . . I challenge any Democrat or Republican to: Read my book! And if they still vote for a Democrat or a Republican, then they are not the solution, they are the problem.

Cool. The only thing that would be cooler would be if Jesse Ventura was on the ticket with Gary Johnson, especially if Jesse Ventura was the presidential candidate.

It appears Governor Ventura was replaced as a guest at the last minute tonight. No immediate explanation was offered on the C2CAM website. A post on a fan page indicated an announcement was made that Jesse was in an area where his phone was not working. If his appearance is rescheduled, we’ll post an update here.

I was mistaken. I was listening on my truck radio at work. And I wasn’t able to listen to the podcast as the router at my motel sucks.

    Very good!

Would be great to get him and other well known supporters e.g Penn and Teller in some youtube videos. May even be something people would want to contribute money to have aired.
