Recently, I wrote about the third of what were originally ten sponsors pulling out of the CPD presidential debates which have invited only Obama and Romney. If the CPD removed the non-objective polling criterion for debate inclusion, leaving in place the criterion of being on enough state ballots to have a mathematical possibility of winning the election, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein would be the only additional candidates to be included. Many people have asked how to contact the remaining sponsors, and here’s a reply I found that has all that and then some:

Boo hoo. Can’t cheat anymore? Plus, a list of sponsors who help the cheating demwits. Double prizes. September …we are coming for the groomers and boomers. The takers of society. The leaches. The treasonous assholes that put illegal INVASION of wetbacks ahead of tax paying Hispanics and ALL other US citizens. Fuck you . Fuck 50 years of NOTHING joe blow. Fuck his babysitting whor$ wife…..and all his stupid simpleton leach voters . Get the message? America hates you Gteedy , narcissistic morons. No mention of closing veteran hospitals in Brooklyn? Mexican illegals more religious than most Catholics here. Be careful what you wish for.
I’ve often wondered why a Hawkins or a Jorgensen hasn’t stolen a page from Narendra Modi.
Modi, when he kicked off his last run to be India’s Prime Minister, made a national broadcast that was beamed as a hologram to sites around the country.
Why not do that to crash the presidential debate stage???
The Chinese Corona virus have a mortality rate of 1 out of 1000 infected…it is not that deadly, and is turning into a cult litmus test to check your adherence to the group think. Rebecca Nowling, you are an insane whinny baby who doesn’t know how to think for herself. Also, having a known associate of pedophiliac Biden be the moderator…um, yeah, that’s going to lead to an “unbiased” debate…
I tried to watch the presidential debate, and finally turned it off. I tried to watch the vice presidential debate, and was extremely disappointed at Pence continuing to go beyond his allotted time. The moderator was so meek, he didn’t take her seriously. When the candidate goes beyond finishing a SENTENCE, take the camera off them, and turn their microphone off!! Senator Harris was trying to be respectful by limiting her interruptions, but Pence was trying to bully her presentation of the debate. It is a poor reflection on our respect, leaving people to think it is okay to “run over” another person by bullying them publicly.
In light of Case Univ.’s allegations that CPD was responsible for enforcement of their own rules ( which CPD failed to do with Pres. Trump or his family/staff in debate #1), and CPD’s recent statement that they will “strictly enforce rules requiring audience members to wear masks” (no mention of Trump’s family/entourage) and “will ask those who object to leave” (again, lol since there is nothing stating they will have security/law enforcement escort those folks out of the building before continuing with the debate), we and the media need to be asking CPD to respond in WRITING what steps they will be taking to ENFORCE the agreed upon rules and to maintain the safety of ALL involved. Using the “honor system” of candidates providing their own test results without CPD doing their own testing is a dereliction of duty which could harm many including the moderator/staffs/candidates/etc. Guidelines state that Pres. Trump should be quarantined as we speak–yet he has already flaunted his disregard for those public health rules. CPD owes it to the American public to disclose now exactly what enforcement steps they will be taking in advance of Pres. debate #2, how they will shut things down to ensure the health & safety of all involved, and how they plan to prevent another national embarrassment if (and when) those rules aren’t followed. The ball is in CPD’s court–will they get this right, or totally wrong for a 2nd time? This could be a matter of life and death (says a retired health care provider who is also at high risk for COVID).
I am in agreement of muting candidates during the time they are not supposed to be speaking. It is sad that a measure like this is needed but without it I find it hard to get anything of substance from the debates.
How can Steve Scully be selected to monitor the next Presidential debate on the 15th when he is a known Democrat, worked for Joe Biden and was a staff assistant to Ted Kennedy. It was bad enough watching Chris Wallace cozy up to Joe Biden in the first debate, obnoxious and so one sided. If you are going to play politics with the monitors there should be a Republican monitor in the mix.
In all seriousness, any exclusionary debate to which at least the candidates of the five nationally-organized parties in the United States are not invited is a “fake debate”, whether it involves sound-proofed rooms or separate padded rooms as might be more appropriate, and voters should boycott any cartel-party candidates (e.g. Trump, Biden) who take part in such an anti-democratic farce, as unfit to hold the top office in a democratic republic.
“During the next presidential debates the candidates should be placed in air conditioned sound proof booths where they can only be heard when their mike is on and they can only hear the moderator and the other candidate. Interruption would be impossible and it would restore order to the proceeding.”
Sounds good, except for the AC part, I say let ’em sweat. 😉
I would like to suggest that in the upcoming debates, and in lieu of Covid-19, that each candidate be housed in separate rooms, the question proposed to each candidate separately and a thorough uninterrupted response is given so that viewers can truly grasp each candidates intent and purpose; Each candidates response can be played back for both candidates can hear, then a 45 second rebuttal by both candidates.
This way decent answers can be given before the in-fighting begins, also with the option for the moderator to have a mic kill switch at the end of two minutes/45 seconds or at his discretion in case candidate is ending a sentence, as well as a large count down clock so the candidate can be aware of time remaining.
In thinking this through, maybe the highly sensitive unknown questions can be asked and recorded the morning or afternoon of the debate, then responses played back, no editing, at the debate, THEN live rebuttal from each candidate for set time agreed upon by the Commission. A team of live fact-checkers could be another component that will be a great enhancement so that viewers can leave with a clearer understanding who they would be leaning more toward in voting. Live fact-checking will keep candidates more factual instead of throwing out random statistics that the average American is not aware of. The results of the fact checking can be displayed at the bottom of the TV screen or read by the moderator after the rebuttals.
The Presidential Debate was an embarrassment for the nation and you note this in your response of change. Do you cut off the mike, do you put them in separate rooms, perhaps lock them? These are not children in need of chastisement; these are adults seeking the highest office in the world. If they can not comport themselves as intelligent responsible human beings worthy of consideration no actions you take will honor the process. It is not the process that needs change. Please consider this. Thank you, Captain Bridget Lynch
The commission should cancel the remaining two presidential debates because there is no chance that Donald Trump will not hi-jack them despite changes the commission may implement to curtail his abuse of the format, his opponent, and the moderator. HIs shameful performance in the first debate did not inform Americans about the issues and reflected poorly on America in the eyes of its own citizens and citizens of the world. He is unworthy of the spotlight the debates give him.
Just cancel the debates until 2024.
I also watched the debate, if you could call it that. I am embarrassed for my country that we had such a spectacle. I urge you to cancel the other two presidential debates to avoid further embarrassing our nation in front of the entire world. Let the vice presidential debate go on. I am sure that will be a little more in line with what a debate should be.
During the next presidential debates the candidates should be placed in air conditioned sound proof booths where they can only be heard when their mike is on and they can only hear the moderator and the other candidate. Interruption would be impossible and it would restore order to the proceeding.
Since we have sadly gotten to the point where we cannot even hear a debate due to the lack of control a particular candidate has, as well as the moderator, I have a suggestion. For each of the 2 minute segments – the mike gets turned off on the side that is not speaking. At least we can have 2 full minutes of uninterrupted policy talk. That is what these debates are suppose to accomplish I believe. Sometimes with some individuals you just need to pull the plug.
I watched the presidential debate tonight, that is if one could call it a debate. It was so embarrassing, and gave our democracy such a black eye that I wish you would cancel the next two debates. Neither of the candidates could do it because it would make them look weak in the eyes of many. You are the only one who can do it, and in my opinion, it needs to be done.
I was watching channel 44 and the reporter was showing Hofstra Univ prior to the candidates appearing and the video clearly showed Holt having a problem with his ear piece and the battery being changed – he removed his suit jacket and got re-wired. This took place at approx. 8 pm. Moderators were not allowed to use an ear piece so how come, Holt, used an ear piece. This can all be proven by watching the tape of the debate – prior to the candidates coming out on the stage, This was illegal and against your policy for this debate and troubles me. No one stopped him and made him remove the ear piece. Who was he speaking with with this ear piece if he was not allowed to have it?? Please let me know what you find out.

It is Unacceptable. If you are going to have FAKE polls as a requirement get some REAL polls or REMOVE the 15% polling all together.
It is Beyond Pathetic how Corrupt you are being. If you think Americans aren’t wise to your corruption you are wrong.
If candidates are on the ballots in enough states to win that is the only requirement there should be.
Is it possible to get this updated for 2016?
In a debate format that offers only two undesirable candidates, you are doing a disservice to the citizens of this country. Right now, it seems that we are being asked to choose between the lesser of two evils, which logically means we will have to be satisfied with evil. I strongly urge you to include the Libertarian and Green Party candidates in the debates.

From GJ2012 campaign
Hey Everyone,
Good news, we now have 23 states on board with this effort! Two things today. First is going to be a message to Crowell & Moring, one of the CPD sponsors, from Rick Stewert. Second is a message to the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters in support of opening the Gubernatorial debates here from myself. As I mentioned before, please share these with your states so we can get plenty of people contacting these groups and hopefully make a difference. Also, as mentioned before too, if you are having debate access problems, send me an email in the form that Rick and I have used and I will broadcast it as well. A strong, concerted nationwide effort can make a difference and we all benefit from opening debates at every level. Sending each message takes no more than a few minutes but can make a big difference. You are free to not participate in any rapid response campaign, though I hope you will. Both messages are below my signature.
Thanks

Crowell & Moring
Crowell & Moring is a Washington law firm. Peter Eyre is a young attorney there who has worked with the CPD since 2000, before he even went to law school. You can read about him at the link below.http://www.crowell.com/Professionals/Peter-Eyre/Bio
Peter does pro bono (free) work for the CPD. The firm probably does not give any money to the CPD.
Peter either knows the CPD list of ‘National Sponsors’ is bogus, because the organizations on the list are not who really pays the $3,000,000 bill for the debates, or he does not yet know this.
If he knows this already, he needs to recover his ethical balance, confess to the partners of his law firm, and have Crowell & Moring remove themselves as ‘National Sponsors’ immediately – today.
If he does not know this already, he does now, and he needs to quit working for the CPD immediately, to avoid compromising himself and his firm, and his firm needs to end its ‘National Sponsor’ standing with the CPD immediately – today.
Copies are to some of the partners in Peter’s area of specialty. Don’t use them all – just pick a random few from the list. We do not want to spam!
Be nice! Peter probably has no idea the CPD has been fooling him. We are not trying to damage his reputation!!! Make no threats!!!
Peter has received several emails from me, but has chosen not to respond. I therefore have no recourse than to send my message to other people in his firm, and to ask for your help. It is the firm, after all, whose reputation is sullied when their name is associated with a corrupt organization such as the CPD.

Subject: [be creative – avoid spam filters by writing your own] The public reputation of Crowell & Moring is at stake
Body: [be creative – write your own – this is only a guide to the main points]
Crowell & Moring is listed as a ‘National Sponsor’ of the presidential debates, but if you add up all the monetary contributions of the ‘National Sponsors’ they add up to practically nothing, perhaps a few hundred thousand dollars. Most, like Crowell & Moring, give absolutely no cash at all.
So who does pay the $3,000,000 bill for the presidential debates? And why doesn’t the CPD want anybody to know the answer to that question?
I have no problem with you doing pro bono work for the CPD. But I have a big problem when the name of Crowell & Moring is used, in public, to perpetuate a deception of the American public, and the media, by the CPD.
Please have Crowell & Moring’s name removed, today, from the list of ‘National Sponsors’ of the presidential debates, to eliminate completely any suspicion that partners of the firm are involved in this form of ‘false advertising’ to the American voting public and the media.
Respectfully,
Rick Stewart

North Carolina Association of Broadcasters
North Carolina needs your help! Our Governor candidate, Barbara Howe has polled as high as 9% this election season. She has been excluded from the gubernatorial debates by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters (a group that has hosted debates in the past) because they say their threshold for inclusion is 10%. Interestingly, the NCAB PAC in 2008 donated to the NC House Democratic Committee, the NC Republican Senate Committee, the Republican House Majority Fund, and the Committee to Elect Republican Women, while at the same time excluding Dr. Michael Munger, our candidate for governor from their debates. In 2010, NCAB PAC donated to the Republican Senate Committee again and the Senate Democratic Caucus. Although they have not donated in 2012, they sure maintain their bias and should be recuse themselves and no longer host political debates on the grounds of their conflict of interest and clearly partisan status.
Please write a short letter to complain about this and request Barbara Howe’s inclusion in the debates. This email is addressed to the NCAB but major newspapers and media groups in NC are cc’ed in hopes of making a story out of it.

Dear North Carolina Association of Broadcasters,
I am deeply concerned by the apparent conflict of interest in your hosting of the upcoming NC Gubernatorial debate. It seemed strange to me that your debates have excluded Libertarian candidate for Governor, Barbara Howe, when the Libertarian Party is one of only three parties officially recognized by the state of North Carolina. However, the motivation for the exclusion became clear upon investigating your political ties. I strongly believe that an organization which donates money to partisan groups such as the NC House Democratic Committee, the NC Republican Senate Committee, the Republican House Majority Fund, the Committee to Elect Republican Women and the Senate Democratic Caucus should NOT be hosting debates.
Political debates represent an opportunity for candidates to engage in a substantive discussion of issues affecting North Carolina. By limiting the participants and the ideas in the debate to only those of the Democrats and Republicans you are doing a tremendous disservice to the people of North Carolina. You are perpetrating a fraud by preselecting the ideas which are worthy of exposure. Why not give the people of North Carolina the opportunity to make an informed decision on their own?
With extremely restrictive ballot access laws in North Carolina and only three political parties officially recognized by the state it makes no sense to exclude one of these three parties. Please promptly rectify the situation by extending an invitation to Barbara Howe, Libertarian candidate for Governor.
Thanks for your time,
Jason Melehani

ah think… always dangerous…. that the American public should kick these corporate political/media guys in the balls and blackout the debates. They won’t let our representatives speak. We should refuse to listen. turn off the tv, the radio and your web browser from 1 hr before the start of a debate to 1 hr after the debate ends.
We should refuse to be an audience. To what the League of Woman Voters said “because the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter. It has become clear to us that the candidates’ organizations aim to add debates to their list of campaign-trail charades devoid of substance, spontaneity and answers to tough questions. The League has no intention of becoming an accessory to the hoodwinking of the American public.”
If we don’t listen to any TV, Radio, get exposed to Webb Adds, don’t buy pay per view movies. Just turn the media off we will be voting against the corporate media political campaign.
