Here are some bits and pieces from the Constitution Party newsletter, dated November 20, 2012. First from their presidential candidate:
Thank you from Virgil Goode…
I hope that within the next several weeks we will be able to get the write-in results from 18 states, which I anticipate will increase our vote totals. … I believe that we will have the lowest cost per vote of any of the parties ….
Next from the party’s national chair, Frank Huckiger:
… In the 26 states in which Goode and Clymer were on the ballot, the vote total thus far is 118,272. South Dakota … with the highest vote percentage … 2,371 votes for 0.65% [more than] the 1,895 votes … in 2008. Coming in second was the state of Wyoming with 1,452 votes for 0.59%.
And here’s an interesting attempt to compete with the LP and the GOP for young supporters of a certain presidential candidate:
Ron Paul has done a phenomenal job of engaging the young people of this nation with his message of liberty. It is the intent of the Young Constitutionalists to tap into the energy that was created by the Ron Paul movement and to give young people the direction and tools they need to accomplish the task of saving their future.
The newsletter also touts the upcoming national committee meeting in St. Louis, 11/30 to 12/1.
