Do labels mean anything anymore? Apparently not, especially if you are Wayne Allyn Root…

As I stated in my recent op-ed for The Libertarian Republic, “My focus is not on a party, but on ideas. Partisanship is never about advancing ideas, its about winning.”

A prime example of the hollowness within our political establishments is the Republican Liberty Caucus. A tremendous organization that is the “conscious of the Republican Party”, they have helped boost the liberty movement which gave us Ted Cruz, Justin Amash, and Rand Paul. Recently the RLC made an excellent choice in endorsing Rand Paul for president. In their official press release the RLC stated:

SENATOR PAUL HAS BEEN ONE OF THE STRONGEST VOICES FOR LIBERTY IN THE SENATE, AND HAS CONSISTENTLY OPPOSED GOVERNMENT AB– USE AND THE TRAMPLING OF INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS UNDER THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION. PAUL HAS LED ON EFFORTS FOR SENTENCING REFORM, TO AUDIT THE FEDERAL RESERVE, TO PROTECT THE BILL OF RIGHTS AND TO CONTROL SPENDING. A PRESIDENT PAUL WOULD BE THE STANDARD BEARER FOR THE GOP ON ISSUES LIKE THESE ON THE NATIONAL STAGE.

Paul has stood up for conservative-libertarian values time and time again, just like men such as Ted Cruz have. Both Paul and Cruz have stood and defended the 5 Principles of Libertyconsistently. The RLC is a great organization, but there is a severe issue, the fact that the man who is the chairman of the National Campaign Committee, in charge of helping the RLC boosting pro-liberty candidates, has endorsed Donald J. Trump for president.

That man is former Libertarian Party vice presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root.

  1. Root's Teeth Are Awesome

Root is just itching to stand beside The Donald, in front of all those cameras and microphones, the way Sarah Palin did.

Root: “Hey, Donald! Look at me! Over here! I endorsed you! I’m just like you! Please can I have a job, or a plug, or something? Maybe be your running mate? C’mon, whada we gotta do to close this deal?”

  2. Root's Teeth Are Awesome

BTW, it was my understanding that Larry King had retired. He’s no longer with CNN, is he?

Who’s carrying King’s show? Some obscure YouTube or digital cable channel?

  3. Root's Teeth Are Awesome

Jill, and I’ve long said that Trump is what Root wants to be when he grows up.

    @RTAA

Larry King is no longer on CNN, but he still has a show on Hulu/RT as well as his own internet show that he self-publishes.

As for Root and the RLC, I think he should stay. He’s the perfect avatar for everything the RLC is and stands for. I also think it’s pretty appropriate for them to be picking up the LP’s rejects.

  5. George Phillies

The RLC stands for conservative libertarian values. That’s sort of like standing for bright darkness.

au contraire, “bright darkness” is no more contradictory than “anarchist libertarian’!!

We should offer to exchange Root for an Islamic refugee. I’d asl for more than one, but the Islamists already KNOW what he is worth!

  8. mr bad example

I guess Jill Pyeatt has a bug up her butt on Wayne Root. Not many businessmen have a STAR on Las Vegas Blvd. Personally, I’d rather see Wayne run for President, he also has a grasp of business, politics and the economy. DT has been all over the map the last few decades, but he did that to succeed in his business. I’m guessing Wayne left Personal Liberty Digest at the end of the year to join the Trump campaign. Wayne can see a winner a mile away.

BTW… it’s “conscience” and not “conscious”. I am a graduate of a fair to middling public high school.

    Caryn Ann Harlos, Feb. 1,

“I think we could auction him off in Orlando”

Better idea! Put him on a life raft in the middle
    of the Devil’s Triangle

and you clearly made ‘The Dean’s List”.

  11. mr bad example

Dave Terry: I was in the “Top Ten Percent”, but I will admit I was the bottom of the top 🙂

  12. mr bad example

Dave Terry: I’ve been in “Quality Control/Quality Assurance” for about 25 years, 12 years as a “checker” of technical drawings for AT&T, so I have done a lot of “proof reading”. Still with only a high school education. Currently, I make the world’s largest sapphire crystals for the USAF.

  13. mr bad example

Jill, the sapphires I make are 5 feet long, 18 inches wide and 3 inches thick and weigh 330 pounds, we make windows for infrared sensors for fighter jets.

    From the Chairman
    Republican National Committee

    David,
Last night our Party’s candidates showed the nation exactly what we’re made of.
With so many talented candidates standing up for conservative principles, I want to know who you think stood above the rest.

Do me a favor and click on the candidate who you think won last night’s GOP debate:
Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, John Kasich. Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, Ben Carson. Jeb Bush

Let the RNC know who your favorite candidate is.

I really appreciate your input, David.
    Reince, Chairman
    Republican National Committee

Thanks for asking Reince. I’ll be voting for the same guy that
Ron Paul will be voting for, now that Rand Paul has dropped out!

He’s the former governor of New Mexico! (hint- hint)
He’s a former Republican governor (hint – hint)
    He’s a L———n!
