Tampa – Libertarian Party Candidate for U.S. Senate, Joe Wendt, condemns LPF Chair, Marcos Miralles, for pursuing a policy that promotes white nationalists within the Libertarian Party of Florida. “Mr. Miralles has appointed known white nationalists to leadership positions.”

When bombarded with complaints from the membership regarding the rise of white nationalism, Miralles has used his position to aggressively marginalize anyone who complains, said Wendt. “These unprincipled actions violate the very essence of being a Libertarian.”

He said Miralles attempted to remove him from two LPF Committees without compelling cause, simply because Wendt opposes white nationalist infiltration of the LPF.

“I have been threatened with physical violence by white nationalist supporters of Miralles,” said Wendt. “Miralles has made inappropriate remarks to members of my staff, and he has made slanderous accusations against me.” The LPF Chair is actively operating against other Libertarians who oppose white nationalism, as well.

“Miralles and his supporters have slandered 2016 Senate nominee Paul Stanton for vocally opposing the actions of Miralles and has attempted to remove Stanton from a committee in retaliation,” he added.

Wendt said “ According to the Libertarian Party platform, ‘We condemn bigotry as irrational and repugnant.’ Miralles’ embrace of these white nationalists is a betrayal of our platform.” “Given Miralles’ lack of principles, willingness to hurt the LPF brand by associating with white nationalists, I believe Miralles must resign,” said Wendt. “His short tenure has been filled with nothing but controversy, and the best thing he could do to save the party’s reputation is to resign immediately.”

She was working with them but broke with them a few months ago. She is actually of Puerto Rican descent iirc.

Ironically, Miralles is also a Hispanic name. I suppose it is possible that he could be of Spaniard descent, but it’s much more likely that he is Latino American.

I was wondering about that. That is, why he’d be running interference for the WN’s, or why the WN’s would deign to accept his help.

Like Trump, they are transactional and situational in their approach. They will work with whoever they believe helps their cause at any particular place and time and at least in the case of Invictus will date, marry and procreate outside the so-called white race as well, but their long term goals are still white nationalist. As for why Miralles would work with them, I don’t know the guy. Perhaps naivete and belief in their fig leaf denials of being racists, perhaps he shares some of their prejudices against various groups other than Latinos, perhaps he is a self-hating Latino, or maybe like them he will work with whoever helps him – in his case against his intra-party opponents. But again that is all speculation as I do not know him.

This is from the guy who supported self professed Nazi, Billy Roper, for President, after he (Wendt) had already been a Libertarian Party member.

Wendt lacks credibility. I am surprised if anyone who knows of his antics takes him seriously.

    To Anthony,

I have already apologized numerous times for past actions in the Boston Tea Party. Although, funny you brought up past actions in the BTP, because none other than Pierre Crevaux is not only advising Mr Miralles (and is supposedly his chief of staff), but openly admits to helping some white nationalists within the LPF recruit candidates. I even have a screenshot of him admitting Augustus Invictus’ support for Miralles.

LOL!!! You were a bad boy back when you supported actual self professed Nazi, Billy Roper, but now you are a good boy, and we should trust you now. LOL!!!

Note that Joe Wendt supported Billy Roper after he had supposedly been a Libertarian, as in Wendt can’t say that this was before he was a Libertarian. He also supported Rick Santorum after he was supposedly a libertarian.

    To Andy,

At least I’ve admitted I made mistakes, apologized, and try to be a better person.

Now, I do hope the white nationalists trying to infiltrate your affiliate don’t threaten you with bodily harm just as they have done to myself and others here in Florida. It truely is an unnerving experience, one I do not wish on anyone else.

For context here’s Ryan Ramsey’s “Thoughts on Party Infighting – The Libertarian Heathen”, including about Miralles.

Search “marcos miralles” “ryan ramsey” and get more returns of interest.

It could be Miralles just hopes that Ryan et al go away or get chased away by others and just wants to improve party and/or enjoy the publicity of office, per his FB page. https://www.facebook.com/MarcosForLPF/

    Thanks for posting, Carol.

I think I’ll not take advice from a guy like Ramsey on how to win political office, though. 🙂

This doesn’t have anything to do with the Libertarian Green Gay Nazi Caucus does it?

  13. paulie Post author

I think that caucus dissolved after Invictus went Republican.

Invictus is straight, or at least bi. He certainly dates women and I have not heard anything about him dating men. Otherwise you could be correct.

For context here’s Ryan Ramsey’s “Thoughts on Party Infighting – The Libertarian Heathen”…

Ramsey actually makes some good points. “Infighting” isn’t necessarily a bad thing, for example.

Unfortunately, he also makes a lot of bad points, like promoting the “right-wing populist” strategy, which has been tried and failed in the past. Right-wingers are going to vote for the R’s, and left-wingers are going to vote for the D’s. Period. It’s a waste of time to court either of them, and worse than a waste of time to compromise our principles to court them.

Then again, I’m not sure how many libertarian principles Ramsey has available to compromise.

    100% agreement.

    At Saturn,

First of all, I openly admit I was pulling a practical joke on Mr Roper. It was for my amusement, and unfortunately I apparently can’t remove the taint from that childish excerise. I have apologized for that involvement.

As for what changed my mind on the white nationalists in the LPF, it took awhile. At first, I believed their narrative that they were changed and truly were Libertarian, hell no one is perfect including me. Then, I heard about the threats and intimidation against Mr Stanton. Then, I heard about Invictus beating his fiancee. Then, he threatened to sue the party. That’s when I realized I was conned; they haven’t, they still use strong arm intimidation tactics, use racist slurs, use racist xenophobic rhetoric, and are constantly looking for an enemy to target & someone to blame. If I had to do it all over again, knowing what I know now, I would never have supported Invictus. After distancing myself from Invictus, I was then targeted by his goons. These white nationalists are not libertarians. They are power hungry racists who want to use the party brand & machinery to promote & legitimize their hate-filled ideology.

Yep. Hence why the Constitution Party is gradually dying.

  18. Maurice Kane

Good luck in getting rid of that pesky fascist infestation in Florida. These racists are to a party what termites are to a house.

  19. Anthony Dlugos

The key isn’t to get rid of them. Its to make them want to leave voluntarily.
