Test launching the 2018 Convention website “I’m THAT Libertarian”

Wes Benedict to LNC Business list:

We’re pleased to launch the 2018 New Orleans Libertarian National
convention website “I’m THAT Libertarian!”

https://libertarianconvention.org/

Special thanks the the Convention Oversight Committee for putting
together the packages and setting prices allowing us to start taking
discounted Super Early Bird registrations.

I also want to thank staff members Andy Burns, Denise Luckey, Lauren
Daugherty, and Robert Kraus for putting together the website and payment
processing.

Of course we’ll continually update the website as new speakers and
events are added.

Whereas the 2016 convention website launched in January of 2016 (5
months before the event), we’re especially pleased to have the 2018
convention website up over 10 months in advance!

LNC members (and anyone else), please register today
[at] https://libertarianconvention.org/ to help us further test the
registration system before we do our full-scale announcement to the
entire membership, planned for next week.

Yours in liberty,

Wes Benedict, Executive Director
Libertarian National Committee, Inc.

Shoulda been “Build Bridges, Not Walls”. but I won’t raise a big stink about it.

All we need now is a catchy theme song:

    “Diamonds, Daisies, Snowflakes… That Libertarian!”

  3. Chuck Moulton

    Registered.

These packages are ridiculous though. They pack a lot of stuff I don’t care about in and charge a huge amount of money for it. What I want is to chip in for the AV, a convention book, and the banquet — that’s it. I will never be awake for breakfasts. The lunches are always underwhelming. There is never any time for the breakout sessions. I’m overpaying a crazy amount for what I actually want.

And it doesn’t help that this convention is scheduled for Sunday – Tuesday.

I suspect this convention will be poorly attended and lose a lot of money. Then the people who engineered that failure with a terrible schedule and bad package pricing will try to shift the blame to others and use it as an excuse for higher prices in worse locations at worse times in the future.

    Wes Benedict had it right:

Personally, I think “Fuck the Nazis!” over “That Libertarian!” is a better rallying cry for party unity…these days

Not too soon to start looking ahead to the 2026 National Convention to be held in Philadelphia. Where we can defend the Liberty Bell from those who want it removed because it didn’t proclaim liberty to slaves, women, gays, native Americans, and all and sundry other aggrieved groups that will be protesting the 250th anniversary of the Declaration.

That’s where fixing that “Free Trade and Migration” plank comes in.

Libertarians should be in favor in removing all government monuments. And everyone should be out protesting by the Liberty Bell on the grievance that the United States Government has never lived up to the principles of the DOI.

  8. Rebel Alliance

I agree with Anthony … “Shoulda been “Build Bridges, Not Walls”.”

WAY BETTER than the boring, awful theme being suggested. My god, is there no one at all in the National LP with an ounce of creativity? I’d thought we had hit a low with flat, lifeless “Character Matters” slogan from a couple years ago, but I guess not. Whoever the half-dead person is who keeps coming up with this crap, just retire now, and leave the marketing to someone who actually cares about the future of the LP.

Libertarians ought to focus on real issues where we can actually accomplish things that are productive, like spreading jury nullification information, taking over local government boards with Libertarian majorities, electing Libertarians as Sheriff’s and appointing Libertarian deputies, promoting the use of alternative currencies, promoting gun ownership, and promoting home schooling, and not waste time giving in to the whims of a bunch of crybaby communist agitators who want to tear down American history and culture. Funny these people don’t want to tear anything down that goes along with their Marxist agenda.

tear down American history and culture

Monuments to slavery put up decades later to promote segregation, jim crow and white supremacy =/= American history and culture. Stop being such a crybaby about it, they are coming down whether you like it or not.

I agree with Anthony … “Shoulda been “Build Bridges, Not Walls”.”

Maybe we can make that the slogan for 2020 when the convention will get more attendees and more TV viewership.

They could at least put Nazi Punks Fuck Off on the convention website…

    Punk means thinking for yourself
You ain’t hardcore cos you spike your hair
When a jock still lives inside your head

    Nazi punks
    Nazi punks
    Nazi punks-Fuck Off!

If you’ve come to fight, get outa here
You ain’t no better than the bouncers

    [Repeat chorus]

Ten guys jump one, what a man
You fight each other, the police state wins
Stab your backs when you trash our halls
Trash a bank if you’ve got real balls

You still think swastikas look cool
The real nazis run your schools
    They’re coaches, businessmen and cops
In a real fourth reich you’ll be the first to go

    [Repeat chorus]

You’ll be the first to go
You’ll be the first to go
You’ll be the first to go
    Unless you think

How about go around in countries in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, etc…, and start tearing down all of their statues/memorials/monuments/historic sites? You think that all of that stuff in these countries have pristine records of civil liberties and economic freedom behind them? Notice how all of these people from around the world want to come here?

  14. paulie

How about go around in countries in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, etc…, and start tearing down all of their statues/memorials/monuments/historic sites?

I didn’t know you opposed tearing down statues of Chairman Mao, Pol Pot and the Kim family in NK… or Saddam Hussein for that matter.

  15. Anthony Dlugos

I personally donated to “Pro-Choice in Everything,” even though I figured that wasn’t going to win, and so had my hopes on “Bulid Bridges.”

I’m sure everyone here is aware the motto that won was a riff on Dr. Feldman’s (RIP) Saturday night rap, so I can’t really get upset about it, even though I think the minimal media attention the Bridges motto may have gotten would have been worth selecting that one.

  16. JT

    Hey Andy,

It looks like Wes Benedict Arnold and Chairman Sarwarkao have decreed that those of us like you and me who are not anti-White should leave the party and I think we should take them up on it. The American Freedom Party is way more libertarian than the LP is anymore and the GOP is becoming so under the wise leadership of our amazing God-Emperor President Trump as well. It looks like the globalists elites are more firmly in control in the LP than in the GOP anymore as amazing as that is. All these years and decades we were the anti-globalist, anti-establishment opposition and now the GOP has taken that over for us. Who would have thought it? You know something is seriously wrong when many in the LP leadership stand up against the fight for freedom and liberty by our heroes and ancestors in the CSA, and against White people defending ourselves against genocide and population replacement in general. They must have forgotten the wisdom of Lew Rockwell, Hans Hoppe, Stefan Molyneux, Christopher Cantwell and Ron Paul.

I think it’s time that we follow the lead of the great and wise libertarian hero, Augustus Invictus, and leave the Libertarian in Name Only Party to the leftists, globalists, antifa terrorists and Soros dupes who have taken it over. We need to build a true Liberty Caucus in the GOP with people like Sonny Landham, Andy Jacobs, Augustus Invictus, Ryan Ramsey and David Macko, as well as the American Freedom Party as the outside pressure force that the LP was originally designed to be. Let’s take our fight for blood and soil to those two parties and leave the LP to rot on the ash heap of history along with the commies they have unfathomably chosen to embrace in contradiction of all libertarian principle!

  17. JT

Very sad news. I just found out the great Sonny Landham has passed away. We need to rededicate ourselves in his honor. I propose we name ourselves the Sonny Landham Libertarian Republican Caucus!

  18. Andy

Landham never ended up running. He was removed as an LP candidate after it came out that he held multiple views that were way out of line with the Libertarian platform.

  19. Carol Moore/Secession.net

Just happened across this article by Mr. Feldman today. Mr. Ramsey and crew really will have a fit when they hear about it!! So they’ll have to change the venue AND the name of the convention!!

    http://blogs.timesofisrael.com/beyond-white-libertarianism/

Also just noticed he had a blog at Times of Israel with a bunch of articles. http://blogs.timesofisrael.com/author/marc-allan-feldman/

Some very interesting libertarian sounding articles, including on the (land grabbing) state of Israel… Will have to read up!

  20. Nate

Sonny Landham did not run as a nazi. He was a great Libertarian who would have made an excellent candidate and did make a great candidate while he was running. RIP Sonny and shame on LPKY for taking him off the ballot and on the leftist LNC for not having a moment of silence for him today.

  21. RebellionIsComing

I see the white trash is now also plastering their stupidity all over third-party blogs too.

Monuments to slavery put up decades later to promote segregation, jim crow and white supremacy =/= American history and culture.

I note Penn & Teller did a Bullshit! episode on Mt. Rushmore a decade ago. Blow up that fucker, too…

  23. dL

WAY BETTER than the boring, awful theme being suggested

Yeah, “That Libertarian!” is obscure inside baseball…
