Rushford Liberty Party candidates take victories in local elections

In the town of Rushford, New York, a group of local citizens had joined together to form a local political group, under the name of the Liberty Party. In the 2017 elections, the Rushford Liberty Party had four candidates placed on ballot under the Liberty Party ballot line via independent nominating petition. These candidates were Peter Wade for Town Supervisor, Dick Hubbard for Town Clerk, and Sandra Gleed and William Tucker II for two seats on the Town Council (with Tucker also being nominated by the Republican Party). Official results from the Allegany County Board of Elections Show that Peter Wade was elected Town Supervisor and that William Tucker II was elected to the town council.
