Boone County MO Libertarian Party Chair Calls for Salaries for Local Politicians

COLUMBIA – If voters pass Proposition One on April 5, city council members and the mayor, won’t be able to call their civic work volunteerism. If passed, Proposition One would pay the mayor $9,000 a year and each of the six council members $6,000.

South Carolina Green Tom Clements is Keynote Speaker at USC Environmental and Social Justice Activism Conference

Tom Clements, South Carolina’s 2010 Green Party candidate for U.S. Senate, wants today’s students to think of themselves as activists.

“Challenge authority and question authority,” Clements said. “We need you guys here in South Carolina to be involved on campus.”

Clements was the keynote speaker at the Environmental and Social Justice Activism in South Carolina conference that was held January 21-23 in the Green Quad Learning Center.

Green Party results: Presidential Election in Colombia

Antanas Mockus is the Green Party of Colombia candidate for President. Election Day was yesterday, May 30, 2010. Mockus recieved 21.5 percent of the vote, and was in second place, qualifying him for the run-off election. Here are some articles about the election:
