“Fair Elections Now Act” introduced in US Congress

A bill called the Fair Elections Now Act, HR 1826,  has been introduced to Congress, and is being referred to the Committee on House Administration, along with the “Committees on Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means,” according to the bill. It is an attempt at nationwide campaign finance reform and would be a voluntary system that a candidate would have to qualify for to get funding.… Read more ...

The KSL/Deseret News Poll released today shows a 300 percent increase for Libertarian Joseph Geddes Buchman in just the last three days!
According to their report, 12 percent of likely voters are voting for Buchman For Congress.

While on top of a house doing roof repairs many years ago, Robert Raymond spotted a child down below walking door to door.

The young boy told Raymond that he was raising money for a church that helped neighborhood children cope with gang violence, unplanned pregnancies and other serious issues.

Green Party candidate for Congress polling near 10%

The Green Party’s candidate to represent Illinois’s 11th Congressional district, Jason Wallace, is polling at 9% in a recent SurveyUSA poll. Wallace is a political newcomer and veteran of the war in Iraq. He has previously polled at about 5%. Congressional candidate Eric Schansberg agrees to lie detector debate

Eric Schansberg, a Libertarian running for Congress in Indiana’s 9th, has accepted a challenge from the local Republican Party’s chairman. The challenge was an invitation to a debate. A debate, that is, where the candidates will be hooked up to polygraph lie detectors.

Independent candidate for Congress condemns Obama, McCain, and ‘corporate owned parties’

In a press release, independent candidate for Pennsylvania’s 16th District’s House seat John Murphy blasted everything from Ronald Reagan to the Taft-Hartley law. His grievances, he said, were caused by “the same 1,500 corporations” controlling the Republicans and Democrats.
