The following is a May 17th, 2016 email from the Libertarian Party:

Libertarians, we’re hiring and paying $3 per signature in Illinois, $2.50 in Pennsylvania, $2.50 in Connecticut, and need volunteers in Ohio too, right away!

There are no donation links in this email (for once). Only instructions on how to get hired.

Oklahoma Petitioners Videotape Orders to Leave Public Spaces; Call For Prosecution of Illegal Removals

OK petitioner harassmentAn email from veteran professional petition circulator Andy Jacobs which was sent to members of the LNC, IPR and others earlier today contains a first-hand report and videos of harassment of petitioners in Oklahoma.

The first video is of Andy “getting illegally kicked out of a public arts festival at a community college in Oklahoma City for asking people to sign a petition to place the Libertarian Party on the ballot.”

Maryland Greens and Libertarians hand in signatures; petitioners harassed, one arrested at public library

The Maryland Green Party submitted 14,842 signatures and the Maryland Libertarian Party submitted 13,787 signatures towards a requirement of 10,000 valid signatures. The deadline for submitting additional signatures has been extended to March 7:

The Maryland petition deadline for a party that wishes to obtain, or regain, its qualified status is not until August 2012.

In a message at their Facebook page, Green Change reported that the Arkansas Green Party is offering to pay $1 per signature to help them secure ballot status. They will also provide housing. Contact Mark Swaney to get involved. The Green Party nation wide needs the Arkansas Green Party on the ballot come November.… Read more ...

Barr fails to submit enough raw signatures in West Virginia, as IPR predicted

Ballot Access New reports that

According to the West Virginia Secretary of State, petitions for Libertarian Party candidate Bob Barr fell short. He turned in 13,036 of the 15,118 required by state law.

IPR first reported about this on August 1, when I wrote

According to a field report by one of the Libertarian petitioners on the ground in West Virginia, as of tonight’s final turn-in of signatures by petitioners to the campaign, the LP gathered only around 12,000 raw signatures, falling short of the 15,118 required by state law.
