The minor party candidate Ben Walsh has been elected the new mayor of the Syracuse, New York. Ben Walsh was the candidate of the Independence, Reform, and Upstate Jobs parties. Ben Walsh is currently leading in the latest poll for Mayor or Syracuse, New York. Ben Walsh is a Syracuse businessman running for mayor with the support of the Independence, Reform, and Upstate Jobs parties. Green Party joins group protesting electric rate hike in NY State

“Power for people, not for profit!” and “PSC doesn’t represent me!” were among the chants raised on the sidewalk at the building’s Erie Boulevard West entrance.

The coalition, activists from Syracuse United Neighbors, the Green Party, the Syracuse Peace Council and other group who want to bring a municipal utility to Syracuse, opposes a proposed $115 million electric rate hike for National Grid.
