Objectivist Party Nominates Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates

Richard Winger reports on the Objectivist Party’s presidential and vice presidential nominations in 2012.

Sometime in 2010, at an event in St. Louis, the Objectivist Party nominated Thomas Stevens for President for the 2012 election. The 2012 vice-presidential nominee is Alden Link. The same pair ran in 2008, and received 755 votes in the entire nation.

Personal Freedom Party: ‘Tell Your Children! Fight The Menace! Kill The Devil! Save The Country!’

On November 11, 2010, the Personal Freedom Party adopted the following Slogan:

Tell Your Children! Fight The Menace! Kill The Devil! Save The Country!

The phrase was used in the song “Reefer Madness” from Reefer Madness: The Musical, which is a musical satire of the 1938 cult movie classic Tell Your Children (now commonly referred to as Reefer Madness).

Dr. Tom Stevens announces plans to form Personal Freedom Party in New York

In IPR comments on a previous post, Dr. Tom Stevens writes

In light of the continued failure of the LP in New York, the Personal Freedom Party will be giving it a shot in 2014. They just adopted a platform which you can see at:

‘At least 15’ on Colorado presidential ballot

The AP reports that “at least 15 presidential candidates” will be on the ballot in Colorado this year, saying voters “may recognize Bob Barr of the Libertarians, Cynthia McKinney of the Greens and the unaffiliated Ralph Nader on November’s ballot. They may not recognize Thomas Stevens of the Objectivist Party, Jonathan Allen of HeartQuake ’08 or Charles Jay of the Boston Tea Party.”
