Modern Whig Party announces its first candidate for Congress

In a recent national online meeting, the Modern Whig Party announced its first candidate for Congress.  He is Paul McKain, and he is running Florida.  The Whigs describe him:

About Paul C. McKain

McKain worked his way through college to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida International University where he majored in Education and minored in Physical Sciences. Upon graduation, he taught for 3 ½ years then applied for and was selected to join Sunrise Florida Fire and Rescue Department where he worked for 23 years until his retirement in 2003. While off duty, McKain built and developed several businesses from the ground up, most recently working on a global scale culminating with the passage of legislation through the US Congress.  Learn more about Paul McKain:

The email announcing McKain’s candidacy also said that the party is vetting other candidates in other parts of the nation. The only other state mentioned with a possible candidate was New Jersey, and it was not made clear what office these candidates would be running for.

The official announcement, to include some more information on the NJ State Assembly candidate, was discussed at the national online meeting last night. According to the site administrator, that meeting was right at its capacity of 1,000 attendees.

Additional information about Mr. McKain also was revealed that shed some info on his experience and role in childhood safety legislation and the invention of I believe drain guards to protect small children that now are in virtually every swimming pool in the country.

  2. Third Party Revolution

We here at Third Party Revolution endorse Paul McKain in his campaign for Florida’s 2nd Congressional District, along with many other third party and independent candidates seeking public offices nation-wide, ranging from local to federal levels.

And speaking of Florida’s 2nd Congressional District, I not only live in the same district as McKain, but also the same city, that being Tallahassee. So probably I can consider assisting him in his campaign.

Another person affiliated with the party said he responded to that nonsense with a list of mainstream news articles and AM/FM radio shows about the Modern Whigs that have occurred in the last few weeks. But apparently the site said it was being moderated so it never posted.

I would like to make two responses to your two comments.

    1. Since you are neither the Democratic Party or Republican, I consider you to be a real party, unless you say yourself that you are fake.

    2. As a resident of the district where Mr. McKain is running, I know myself that while there is a large amount of members of the Democratic Party, it is actually very conservative. That’s because our representative, Allen Boyd, is the leader of the Blue Dog Democrats.

@4 Aren’t Whigs the ones with the fake hair?

    @9 Was Trotsky Catholic?

Was Trotsky an atheist or an agnostic? If he was agnostic, was he also dyslexic and suffer from insomnia? If so, he probably laid awake all night questioning the existence of Dog. I think a lot of communists do that.

Established in 1833, the Whigs are one of America’s oldest mainstream political parties. We were the original party of Abraham Lincoln and four other U.S. Presidents.

Revived by Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, the grassroots movement has quickly attracted tens of thousands of members. We represent moderate voters from all walks of life who cherry-pick between traditional Democratic and Republican ideals in what has been called the Modern Whig Philosophy.

This includes general principles of fiscal responsibility, strong national defense and bold social progression.

  10. Catholic Trotskyist

Yes, it is true that Trotsky was an atheist or agnostic, and probably would not have approved of this party during his life. However, Catholic Trotskyism is an attempt to unite the paradigms of religion and socialism, of church and state, thus establishing the benevolent dictatorship of God’s proletariate over the world, bringing in the new age of peace and unity.

Modern whigs do not respond on their email addies. Modern whigs have only ONE postal address for all the local chapters. This street address is in a large and busy legal office.

Modern whigs do not return personal phone
calls. Modern whigs talk the same ole failed boring ‘let’s support the troops and vets’ bull shit. It does not work for the Dems or the GOP and is basically artful dodging steer manure. All posing, nothing of real world substance and stuff to be accountable for later on.

Like so many ‘super star up and comming’ groups, wild claims are made which are not proven. Bull shit, bull shit, bull shit!

The Modern Whigs are fake. The Washington DC based Chairman never returns an email or phone call. There is not national party it’s a group of young Democrats who worked on the Obama campaign. Too bad the Whig name got hijacked by this group of Democrats.

The Whig NJ candidate is a fake. I saw his website and it was total crap. Now his site goes to the Modern Whig website. What a joke. This group makes all third parties look bad. Most of the websites they have are free sites. Information is not updated. I got an email from a friend in DC that their mass meeting that their Chairman (Lebowitz) wrote about was nothing more than a couple of people at a bar. Liars!

” Most of the websites they have are free sites. Information is not updated. I got an email from a friend in DC that their mass meeting that their Chairman (Lebowitz) wrote about was nothing more than a couple of people at a bar. ”

Nothing unusual about that for 3rd parties.

“I gave money to them online as a test. They never reported it to the Federal Election Commission. ”

Was it over $200? Otherwise, they are not required to.
