National Publicity and Endorsements for Tobin for CA Rolling In
San Francisco (Feb. 22, 2010) – Electionline, a daily news collector run by the prestigious Pew Center, on February 22 included the story from Independent Political Report about Christina Tobin announcing her candidacy for California Secretary of State.
According to Richard Winger of Ballot Access News, “I have been reading ‘Electionline’ for years, ever since it started, and I do not believe that Electionline has ever before included news about a minor party or independent candidacy announcement.”
Winger is also the Campaign Manager for Tobin for CA.
Tobin said, “The notice from the Pew Center shows this campaign will receive national attention.”
Tobin for CA also has started collecting endorsements from nationally known figures in various independent and third party voter movements.
Anne Goeke, co-founder of the Green Party of the United States, said:
“I consider Christina Tobin to be an ideal candidate for Secretary of State in California. Her background, dedication, understanding of the issues and her ability to know how to fix the system would only be a great asset in our political system. With today’s challenges, someone like Christina Tobin is more needed than ever. She listens, she fights for justice and she represents the change that the people so yearn for in our political arena. I urge everyone to support Christina Tobin and give her fresh new approach a chance to make California a better place for the present and for the future.”
Michael Jingozian, Vice Chair of the Libertarian National Committee and owner of AngelVision Technologies, said:
“Do you complain that not enough good people run for office? Do you complain that all of government is controlled by two parties that have the same selfish interests in mind? Christina is a breath of fresh air in a polluted political environment. She’s intelligent and dedicated. This is our chance to take a swing against our horrid two party system.”
Christina Tobin will appear in front of the office of the Secretary of State, 1500 11th Street in Sacramento, at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 to formally kick off her campaign become the next California Secretary of State.
Richard Winger will also be in attendance. Please contact Winger at the number above for more information.
