LP blog: Libertarian Christina Tobin appears on FOX’s Freedom Watch

LP blog:

On May 4th, Libertarian Party candidate Christina Tobin appeared on FOX’s ‘Freedom Watch’ with Judge Napolitano to discuss California’s upcoming vote on Prop 14.

As Christina Tobin notes, Prop 14 "…is the biggest threat to third parties and independents in 60 years."

That was a really GREAT interview! I think she might be the next in my “Surveys in Liberty” series if she is willing (I’ve been questioning candidates of interest to me, starting with Libertarian Jeff Daiell in Texas last week).

I emailed Christina a couple of weeks ago. I requested to correspond with her about PLAS and ran by her the possibility of her on a fusion executive Independent ticket. Have not received a reply as of yet. The idea is to get on as many ballots as possible much as Nader did in 2008, without jeopardizing the ticket by relying on the LP & GP to nominate it. If either does, or both, fine. If neither, the fusion ticket is still to be available to as many voters as possible. The idea of fusion in this case is to present a ticket that both progressives and libertarians can get behind because both are represented. Tobin is clearly a libertarian. She has demonstrated an ability to work with progressives & now has that experience & contacts etc. I have been trying to engage with libertarians for years now despite being originally associated with radical leftists. So far my offer has been to-Milnes/Ruwnrt, Milnes/ENM, Milnes/Keaton etc. I also contted Jo Jorgensen & Dr. Nancy Johnson.

Yes, she is young, which make her accomplishments even more amazing. I think Christina Tobin is someone the Libertarian Party should embrace. I believe she’ll have an excellent future in politics.

Robert, I am in preparations for my upcoming trip to Florida to convince Snitker to drop out of the Senate race, and most importantly, to convince Crist to adopt PLAS. Lots of plans are up in the air, however.

Concerned Citizen, this sounds difficult & complicated. IMO In order for Snitker to drop out he would have to endorse PLAS AND Crist. So Crist is going to have to declare support for PLAS first, OR they meet & agree as to which should run & which to drop out endorsing the other.

Name recognition does matter, in this age. Crist will have to be the PLAS candidate.

Yeah, but probably not in the LP. The LP will fail her. Who hasn’t the LP failed?
