Harold Thompson: ‘If Not the Constitution Party – Then Who?’

Posted on the front page of the Constitution Party national website:

by Harold Thompson

Since I joined the Constitution Party two years ago, my excitement level rises each day. The idea of being a part of a group of constitutionally minded people wanting to reduce and limit the Federal government to the size the Founders intended. The idea of being part of a party that, unlike other parties, actually believes in and stands for their principles.

Having beliefs, standing for those beliefs and not compromising those beliefs for temporary gain is what makes the Constitution Party unique among American politics. We do not change, adjust or alter our beliefs due to focus group results, polling data or the desire to have the “powers that be and the media” like us. Our mission is to return America to small, limited constitutional government. We do not need or want a “cradle to grave” Federal government.

It seems to me that the very standards making us unique among political parties, our actual beliefs in a set of principles, is somehow viewed as a negative by many people. Why would standing up for your principles be anything but positive? My theory, people aren’t used to standing firm for much of anything in their lives.

Therein may be the dilemma for so many Americans. Being unused to having firm beliefs, it is difficult to understand others who do have firm convictions. I once heard the most difficult decision most people make each day is what to eat for the next meal. We Americans have become too reluctant to make our own decisions. We are so “dumbed and numbed”, we are content to let “the government” make decisions for us.

We live in the greatest country in the history of the world. Our constitutional republic is unique and has been replicated many times, but never duplicated. Why? The concept of liberty and freedom held by the Founders and woven into our Constitution. We are losing those concepts and if we do not wake up and change course, what we give away, our posterity may never regain.

The Constitution Party believes in God, the sovereignty of our states, the principles of liberty and freedom and small Federal government. We believe in personal responsibility, low taxes, local control of our schools and local control of our governments. We do not need or want the folks in Washington, D.C. telling us how to live, what to eat, how to spend our money and what to buy with our money. Government is by, for and of the people. We, the people, need to start living up to our responsibilities.

I suppose if you are satisfied with the developments of the past many years, then continue voting the way you have voted. More taxes, more wars, higher gas prices, higher unemployment, government health care and more government intrusion into your life, the Democrats and Republicans will be happy to let you maintain the status quo.

If you believe the sun is still rising on America; if you believe America is intrinsically good; if you believe America is still a shining example for the rest of the world; if you believe America gives its citizens the OPPORTUNITY for a life of freedom and liberty; it you believe that, in America, government is supposed to work for the people and not the other way around, then why aren’t you a member of the Constitution Party?

There is literally a life and death struggle being waged every day in America. Sometimes in public view, often out of public view behind the scenes. It is a struggle being waged by ordinary people like you and me. Right now, the good people are battered, bruised and staggering but not defeated. No matter how this struggle ends, be it with more freedom or more tyranny, be assured you were a part of the outcome. You may say, “not me, I stay away from politics”. Guess what? You are still involved because you are either fighting for freedom or enabling tyranny. You are part of the solution or part of the problem. The choice is yours to make. The decision you make affects us all.

Be a freedom fighter. Preserve freedom for your children and grandchildren.

Join the Constitution Party today. We need your help.

If not the CP then who? The Libertarian Party, that’s who.

The CP endorses a theocratic republic. The LP endorses a democratic republic. Which do you prefer?

    Hola amigos and illegal wetbacks!

We need a real third party to deal with the real issues in this country that all the parties are ignoring:

The threat of Islamic terrorism and the rise of Islamic extremism around the world.

The flood/invasion of illegal aliens taking away American jobs which will cause white people to be a minority in this country soon…has anyone wondered what will happen then?

Abortion of white babies, which is contributing to this disturbing demographic trend if it is not outlawed.

Corporations outsourcing American jobs – where is the paycheck for the white working class man going to come home to feed his family?

The war on Christianity in our schools, courthouses, etc., and the war on Christmas.

The Zionist bankers and their control of the money supply.

The rising economic and military threat posed by China.

The flood of dope on our streets and the leniency of the police and courts toward non-white street thugs.

NAFTA/GATT/WTO/United Nations threats to American sovereignty.

    Multiculturalist brainwashing of our children.

Filthy garbage of the worst imaginable sort being allowed in the movies, TV and on the radio, producing generations of degenerates.

Feminization of the American male through the promotion of feminism and normalization of sodomy as a “lifestyle” – this can’t be helping our demographic trends! Before long this country will look like a cross between Mexico, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and Gomorrah if we don’t do something.

While Wall Street is partying, the Zionist bankers are closing our factories and foreclosing on our farms.

Is there a party, major or minor, that will rise up to address these issues?

Will we do something before it’s too late?

(and if that doesn’t make sense to you…

Debemos asegurar la existencia de nuestro pueblo y un futuro para los niños blancos

    Si se puede!

The Constitution Party, as with its California branch ( the REAL American Independent Party ), is the only political party in total opposition to the greatest manifestation of racism in the history of our nation as documented at blackgenocide.org. This manifestation is known as Planned Parenthood ( the biggest organization in the abortion industry ), an organization which has killed more non-white people than any other organization in history. No other political party stands in defense of humanity against the attack upon it by the abortion industry, inclusive of Planned Parenthood, as does the Constitution Party. The CP is at the forefront of fighting racism in our nation.

The Catholic Trotskyist Party is also in total opposition to Planned Parenthood and believes that PP is a racist organization. But we support illegal immigration and Paulie’s Open Borders position.

One only needs to read the preamble to the Constitution Party’s platform to realize this is a group of religious nutjobs.

You can’t argue with that level of crazy.

I think Blanco pretty much sums up why the answer is the Libertarian Party.

I can see some people misinterpreting that statement, LOL

    ” a group of religious nutjobs ”

Response – Just what the Founding Fathers are also called by the enemies of the nation.

“The CP endorses a theocratic republic.”

    Wrong.

If you want to promote the LP, good for you, nothing wrong with that, but don’t mischaracterize the CP as part of it. The Constitution Party may be a party made up largely of believers, but it is NOT a theocratic party. Assuming that there are no non-believers in the CP, which would clearly be in error, there are many faiths represented in the CP–Orthodox Christians, Catholics, Mormons, Evangelicals, Baptists, Presbyterians, Methodists, Jews and on and on and none of them would ever agree on what kind of a Theocracy it would be– if they agreed there should be one–which they don’t.

There WAS an element a few years back who probably did promote some sort of theocracy, but they are largely gone. I think they started some sort of Christian Heritage Party, which is there perogative and it probably made them happier than being in the Constitution Party and butting heads with the large majority that did not and does not want to be a theocratic party or for America to have a theocratic government.

For those of you wondering if there has been a change in the CP, here is the front end of the Preamble to their Party Platform

    “Preamble

The Constitution Party gratefully acknowledges the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as Creator, Preserver and Ruler of the Universe and of these United States. We hereby appeal to Him for mercy, aid, comfort, guidance and the protection of His Providence as we work to restore and preserve these United States.

This great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been and are afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.

The goal of the Constitution Party is to restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical foundations and to limit the federal government to its Constitutional boundaries.

The Constitution of these United States provides that “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.” The Constitution Party supports the original intent of this language. Therefore, the Constitution Party calls on all those who love liberty and value their inherent rights to join with us in the pursuit of these goals and in the restoration of these founding principles.

The U.S. Constitution established a Republic rooted in Biblical law, administered by representatives who are Constitutionally elected by the citizens. In such a Republic all Life, Liberty and Property are protected because law rules.”

    Rob // Sep 4, 2010:
“One only needs to read the preamble to the Constitution Party’s platform to realize this is a group of religious nutjobs. You can’t argue with that level of crazy ………”
[Lake: I have told that it has been modified]

    Don Grundmann // Sep 5, 2010:
“A truly wonderful Preamble. Don J. Grundmann,” [Oh, the one Don Lake has been critical of for almost a decade? The one that was crafted AFTER the disassociation of the California American Independent Party in P2008?]

Gary Odom, former lawyer: “There WAS an element a few years back who probably did promote some sort of theocracy, but they are largely gone. I think they started some sort of Christian Heritage Party, which is there prerogative and it probably made them happier than being in the Constitution Party [Lake: or the new and improved California American Independent Party] and butting heads with the large majority that did not and does not want to be a theocratic party or for America to have a theocratic government.”

[Lake: Almost word for word, the criticism of the old, out moded, now non existent California American Independent Party! And this is the guy, whom, by supposition and extension, wants the West Coast to return to this myopic, narrow minded, exclusionary paradigm?]

[Lake: for years and years, to see my words of complaint used by adversaries as their complaints, or mitigations, or back tracking. Told ya so, told ya so!]

[Lake: Disbarred / disassociated lawyer Odom indicates an [unseen, unheard from] “majority” opposed to the new and improved management. What Gary does not know, he does not know! …….. Just because he says there is a crowd assembled, does not mean a thing!]

  13. Cody Quirk

George, how stupid do you think we are, you intentionally left this out of the quoted Preamble-

“The Constitution of these United States provides that “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.” The Constitution Party supports the original intent of this language. Therefore, the Constitution Party calls on all those who love liberty and value their inherent rights to join with us in the pursuit of these goals and in the restoration of these founding principles.”

This was actually the third paragraph.
So if we welcome anybody into CP, how are we a ‘theocratic party’ if we have both believers and non-believers in the Party and we’re opposed to religious tests?

  14. Cody Quirk

I guess all those anti-Christian Libertarians are totally blind in their ignorance and hostile prejudice against organized religion, especially Christianity.

  15. George Phillies

    @18

What do you mean I left it out? It’s right there, though it happens to be paragraph four.

I shall copy what I posted before and *emphasize* the annoying paragraph.

*The Constitution of these United States provides that “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.” The Constitution Party supports the original intent of this language. Therefore, the Constitution Party calls on all those who love liberty and value their inherent rights to join with us in the pursuit of these goals and in the restoration of these founding principles.*

The U.S. Constitution established a Republic rooted in Biblical law, administered by representatives who are Constitutionally elected by the citizens. In such a Republic all Life, Liberty and Property are protected because law rules.”

And with respect to teh claim that the Republic is founded in Biblical law, the claim is complete nonsense. The American Republic is founded on *Graeco-Roman* law which is why we have a *Republic* and a *Senate*, not a king or worse.

  16. Jim Wade

Let’s clear up some confusion about the idea of a theocratic state. If one believes in a sovereign God, a theocracy exists whether civil government recognizes it or not. The founders of our federal union understood that God was and is sovereign. Their duty was first to him, therefore civil government must of necessity be under the control of the people to provide the best opportunity for individuals to serve God without interference by civil government.

What the founders did not want was an ecclesiocracy – a government run by the church (one of the reasons they came here in the first place).

Do not confuse theocracy and ecclesiocracy. If God exists, you live under a theocracy whether you like or not, and whether you recognize its authority or not.

The Constitution Party joins the founders in recognizing the existence of God and his sovereign will. However, it does not seek to establish a national church or have the same control the government.

It is a mischaracterization for anyone to say otherwise.

    George Phillies // Sep 5, 2010:

    @18

What do you mean I left it out? It’s right there,

[Lake: oh come on Doctor Phillies, this is a guy whom has folks spell his name entirely correctly and then *yells* at them for spelling errors! This is a guy whom claim bias against LDS ——- by Mormons! He is just an over aged eleven year old, stirring up dust in the play ground while the serious students contemplate the down fall of America!]

  18. Cody Quirk

Then again, for evidence against CALVETS, you post links to a website that deals with international cuisine, and you wrap toilet paper around your head.

    Whose the incompetent one here?

    Not me.

  19. '..... just look at the activists ' [Lake]

    Teachers learn to introduce ‘Props’.

No toilet paper ——- unless you want to believe the corrupt state government.

Just 40 inches of double backed white masking tape!

I was merely replying to your question and correcting your misconception!

If CALVETS / CDVA is sooooooo reliable why do so many folks spend money for tape recorders, videos and or court reporters?

If CALVETS / CDVA is soooooo reliable then why were more neutral, more independent facilitators brought in?

  20. Cody Quirk

My own advice, you need to get over the past and focus on the present & actually buy a real helmet instead of using toilet paper or whatever materials you have.

  21. '..... just look at the activists ' [Lake]

Huh? A divorced Mormon. A bias complainant against fellow Mormons. Dissed in HS, College, and California AIP * —– and not universally loved in Nevada’s IAP !

    * if you are right and ‘they’ are wrong, ‘phugue em’ ——– if you are / were half the jerk you appear to be in your postings ‘phugue yew’!

You giving any one advise? Typing yells at folks for mis spelling your name —— when they have not. Instead of giving me advise, un asked for, plz just keep turning sane folks against what ever quest you are on.

I have known of you for almost a decade. You have ALWAYS seem to make minors your majors. You have always seem to make majors your minors. Trivia is your life! (IMO)

Helmet? YOU brought it up! Mister Stephens died over a decade ago. I had hand outs of a $40 bicycle style safety helmet.

Some one else left the tape out. May be taping the micro phone cord ——- it was a decade ago!

I grabbed it for a one off situation as a speaking prop.

You kick up dust. I grab a broom and do not let you ‘get away’ with your misdeed. Then you gripe at me! What a life!

Plz, do not let me ever stop you from tossing your garbage out of the political car window.

You giving advice? Yeah, right, sure!

  22. Cody Quirk

Just take my advice, dumbass, and stop offering to give people head as well, you sound as bad as a pedophile, you sick fuck.
