PA: Libertarian Party Convention Hits Local News

The Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania is due to hold its state convention in Wilkes-Barre in April and it’s received some positive attention from the local press.

“We’re hoping to pack the house,” Jasikoff said Thursday. “This could be one of the biggest political events in history for Wilkes-Barre.”

He said Wilkes-Barre was selected during the party’s November meeting in Selinsgrove.

Carla Howell, executive director of the Libertarian National Party in Washington, D.C., confirmed the convention site and said part of the agenda will feature selection of candidates to run in all state congressional districts.

A kick-off meet-and-greet for Gary Johnson, former two-term governor of New Mexico, and other guests will be held at the Kirby Center, ending with a Friday Night at the Oldies disco party open to the general public.

Former Libertarian Party presidential candidate Michael Badnarik is also going to give a presentation on the Constitution to the convention delegates.

GJ needs to mention in all his local media interviews that PA residents need to register Libertarian while in the state. You guys need to stress that to his team before he comes into the state. Be sure to contact all local media to attend. Cull no media, even down to the local alternative newspapers.

Positive local media is important in building the local and state LP! Also hope you can find congressional candidates that will actually run this year. Make sure you get them as much media as possible also.

    Carpe Diem !
