    No, for a independent candidate, he’s doing it right; start early in order to build up your base and to get your name out there.

    I’d love how you guys expect him to have any name recognition and any success come 2016 if he doesn’t get his name out there and doesn’t build any organization. We know the media isn’t going to cover him or do him any favors. Campaigning early is the right thing to do. Obviously he’s on to something since this is the second time the Athens Georgia TEA party has invited him to come and speak to them.

    Did I say he shouldn’t be out building name recognition? No. Did I say he shouldn’t be building an organization? No. But you can do that without an official campaign; it looks foolish and egotistical to be an actual declared candidate this early. He should take a page from the major parties and campaign without having a campaign.
