Ted Brown, the chairman of the Libertarian Party of CA, has made this announcement on Facebook today:

Ted Brown, chairman of the Libertarian Party of California, has announced that our state party will be endorsing the referendum to overturn the mandatory vaccination law which was recently passed in CA.  Said Mr. Brown:

The Libertarian Party of California’s Executive Committee has voted to endorse the referendum to overturn SB277, the mandatory vaccination law that was recently passed by the Legislature and signed by Gov. Brown. Signature collecting has begun on this effort. The Libertarian Party is not officially pro-vaccination or anti-vaccination, but strongly supports health care freedom and personal choice in health care matters. Our platform has been opposed to mandatory vaccinations for decades. I will be on Tim Donnelly’s radio show at 4:35 p.m. today (AM 960 in Hesperia) to announce our endorsement”

.

Mr. Brown was voted in as new state chairman in Las Vegas on May 31, 2015. See here.

The bill regarding mandatory vaccinations was signed by Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown (no relation to Ted) on June 30, 2015.
