By Nick Gillespie, Reason.com, June 30th, 2016:

LBJ’s Daisy, Nixon’s “Crime,” Dukakis’ “Snoopy” tank ride, you’ve got competition.

It’s good but certainly nowhere near the greatest spot ever. It probably doesn’t matter much since very few voters are likely to ever actually see this commercial.

Not terrible, not great. I’ll be interested to see if they produce (and AIR) any campaign commercials in a standard (15-, 30-, or 60-second) format.

Hyperbole from Gillespie. It’s a worthy effort but much too long for television (where most will view political ads). A good start, though. Social media still counts for something and this has popped up on my Facebook feed a few times already.

As for the ad itself, it’s not too bad but lacks a lot of substance. A simple investigation into Weld might turn some off. Then again, I believe the average rank-and-file voter to fall for bells and whistles as opposed to searching for substance. This might be a good ad to appeal to this type.

Stopped watching about 30 seconds in when Gov Johnson started bragging about new roads and schools.

I think it is a great video. I immediately shared it with others. My wife even liked it. The video has been viewed over 3.5 million times on Facebook. I look forward to voting for Libertarian Governors Gary Johnson and William Weld in November.
