To that end, Hoefling’s campaign will focus on several core issues that will resonate with such voters, namely the protection of unborn children and the preservation of what he terms natural marriage and family structures. He condemns the legalization and regulation of abortion, labeling it as an ongoing “American genocide,” and asserts that equal protection under the law for all individuals extends to both the born and unborn. In addition to his views on marriage and reproductive health, Hoefling also addresses the right to self-protection under the Second Amendment, a robust national defense, and a secure immigration system, among other policy positions.
Hoefling has previously sought the presidency three times. In the 2012 election cycle, he was the nominee of America’s Party, as well as the American Independent Party in California. In the 2016 cycle, he ran again as the nominee of America’s Party. In the 2020 cycle, when he first ran with Prior as his running mate, the ticket appeared on the ballot in Louisiana and had write-in status in over a dozen other states. They earned 1,331 votes in total.
