The Americans Elect web page now says the group has obtained 1,903,444 signatures on petitions to get on the ballot, so far. This contrasts with the figure of three weeks ago, which was 1,829,264.

Americans Elect, the 501c4 corporation seeking to arrange the nomination of its own presidential candidates through a private process in 2012, has posted its draft rules (“pending public comment and rules committee adoption”) and candidate handbook.

In my last update on Americans Elect I wrote:

Jim Cook has updates on Americans Elect activities in Arizona, Nevada and Ohio. The petitioner grapevine has it that Americans Elect petitioning has been completed in Arizona and Kansas, but Nevada is the only state that their signatures have been verified to have been turned in to the state through sources I have seen.
