Arizona Secretary of State Tallies Green Party Registration for the First Time since October 2013

The Arizona Secretary of State has posted this January 1, 2015 registration data. The data shows that the Green Party has 5,051 registrants. This is the first Green registration tally in Arizona since the October 1, 2013 tally, when the Greens had 5,601 registrants.… Read more ...

Independent American Party Retains Ballot Status in NM & UT, Loses in AZ

The Independent American Party is now ballot-qualified in at least two states following Tuesday’s election, one by simply not running a candidate (due to the sometimes confusing intricacies of ballot access law).

Ballot Access News: Minor Parties Have a Lot Riding on Their Percentage of the Vote on November 4

One of the reasons the November 4 election is suspenseful is because there are so many states in which it is difficult to predict whether various minor parties will poll enough votes to obtain, or keep, recognized party status.

Alabama: although no minor party candidate has any candidates on the ballot for statewide office, parties can also obtain recognized party status, for county office only, if they poll 20% of the vote for a countywide county office.… Read more ...

John Mealer, the State Chair of the Americans Elect of Arizona, has recently announced a organizational convention, which is to be held on the 16th of August.
