Dick Randolph, the former Alaskan legislator elected to two terms, one as a Republican and one as a Libertarian, penned an editorial for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner in which he describes the successes of his legislative career. Dick Randolph endorsed Ron Paul for President and Bob Bird for US Senate in 2008.… Read more ...

I have been watching with concern and alarm for many years now the threat of a Constitutional Convention. Article V of the Constitution appears to be a part of the document that was poorly written. Here are some examples:
1. The failed Equal Rights Amendment caused much confusion when states not only rescinded their approval, but Congress unilaterally extended the approval time.

Quite a bit written about me in today’s Washington Post, by Chris Cillizza and Paul Kane. They have one minor fact wrong: Pat Buchanan did not run a 3rd-party candidacy in 1996, but was a Republican.
They never called for an interview, but seem to have gotten their info from my website.… Read more ...
In an open letter to blogger Steve Conn of Dissident Voices, Alaskan Independence candidate for U.S. Senate Bob Bird says, “I aggressively ran against foreign wars and adventurism, something Begich would not do, and certainly lost me some redneck votes. Pity.”
Bird, a former chairman of Alaska’s Right to Life organization, said he couldn’t get that national organization’s endorsement because he opposed their unconstituional agenda, including the Human Life Amendment and national pre-abortion ultrasound laws.… Read more ...

With somewhere around 50-55,000 absentee ballots yet to be counted (as of Sunday, November 9), Bob has garnered just short of 9,000 votes. With an extrapolation of maintaining his 4% share of the votes, Bob stands to bring in another 2,200 votes or so, which would bring him to about 11,000 when the election is certified.… Read more ...

From the Bob Bird for Senate campaign:
Alaskan Independence Party U.S. Senate candidate Bob Bird will be making his
final Anchorage appearance this Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM at Denny’s
Restaurant on DeBarr. This is the weekly “Campaign for Liberty” meet-up group.
Bird, who was endorsed by Ron Paul last week, is rising in the polls, and
threatens to surprise analysts once again, as he did in 1990 when he took 30%
against Stevens in the Republican primary.

Subject: Please support Bob Bird for Senate
As I’m sure you know, Senator Ted Stevens was this week found guilty of corruption. With national Republicans, including John McCain and Sarah Palin, calling for Steven’s resignation, his re-election bid appears lost. However, defenders of Liberty like you and I cannot sit idly by and allow big government liberal and Harry Reid disciple Mark Begich to waltz right into the Senate for the next six years.… Read more ...
