The New York gubernatorial race is getting more interesting on the right. As expected, Conservative party leaders endorsed Rick Lazio this weekend, but their verdict doesn’t guarantee him Row D this November. He doesn’t become the party’s official nominee until its convention takes place in June.
The Green Party of New York State (GPNYS) stated today that it opposed the ethics reform deal announced earlier this week as being too late, too late, an attempt at damage control rather than the real reform New York taxpayers deserve.
As noted in a Daily News article, Senator Gillibrand is courting the Working Families Party (a labor-backed third party in New York, which often endorses Democratic candidates) to help her image for a possible Democratic primary, and to polish her leftist credentials for the 2010 elections.
