Libertarian Schansberg could run as Republican next time

Indiana’s Jefferson Evening News and Tribune reports that Eric Schansberg, the Libertarian U.S. House candidate in the state’s Ninth District in 2006 and 2008, says he is “not opposed to running as a major party candidate” in the future. Schansberg received four percent of the vote this year.

While Schansberg says he is “not sure there’d be room for him to run in the Democratic Party” because the seat is held by a Democrat, he “would consider the Republican Party.… Read more ...

Eric Schansberg is the Libertarian candidate in Indiana’s 9th US House District.

On Tuesday evening, Dr. Eric Schansberg engaged in a two-hour debate with Rep. Baron Hill and former Rep. Mike Sodrel at the Vincennes University campus in Jasper. The first hour was broadcast on radio and television across the district.

The Indianapolis Star praises Libertarian candidate for Congress

Congressional candidate Eric Schansberg agrees to lie detector debate

Eric Schansberg, a Libertarian running for Congress in Indiana’s 9th, has accepted a challenge from the local Republican Party’s chairman. The challenge was an invitation to a debate. A debate, that is, where the candidates will be hooked up to polygraph lie detectors.

A WCPO Cincinnati/WHAS Louisville poll on the Indiana Ninth District U.S. House race finds Libertarian Eric Schansberg at five percent. The poll of 603 likely voters, conducted for the two television stations by SurveyUSA September 8-10 (+/- 4.1%), shows Schansberg backed by 19% of registered independents, and 12% of respondents age 18-34.… Read more ...
