Reform Party Elects New Chairman, Postpones Convention Before Presidential Nomination

Wayne Allyn Root Postpones Blue Lives Matter Rally

As reported on his Facebook page earlier this week, the Libertarian Party’s 2008 vice presidential nominee Wayne Allyn Root was to lead a Blue Lives Matter rally this Saturday in Las Vegas.  However, Root has since postponed the event due to safety concerns.

L. Neil Smith, a Libertarian Science Fiction author and activist, posted the following statement on his Facebook page yesterday.  Smith was actively involved in the early Libertarian Party and unsuccessfully sought the party’s 2000 presidential nomination, though the Arizona Libertarian Party placed his name on the ballot that year as the party’s nominee. Read more ...

Cecil Ince Resigns from Missouri Libertarian Party in Light of Molestation Comments

Cecil Ince, who ran for the Libertarian Party’s 2016 presidential nomination among other offices, resigned from the Libertarian Party of Missouri Wednesday after controversial Facebook posts about sexual intercourse between adults and 13 year olds were uncovered.  In addition, Ince was removed from his position on the advisory panel for special education at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.… Read more ...

Brian Ellison Drops Out of 2020 Libertarian Presidential Race, Endorses Supreme

Earlier this week, construction estimator Brian Ellison of Michigan dropped out of the race for the Libertarian Party’s 2020 presidential nomination.  He endorsed performance artist Vermin Supreme.  Ellison, who is best known for his pledge to provide homeless people with firearms during a 2018 bid for US Senate, is currently seeking the office of Secretary of the Libertarian National Committee (LNC).… Read more ...

Mike Gravel Turns 90

Former two term Senator Mike Gravel of Alaska turned 90 years old today.  Gravel unsuccessfully sought the Libertarian Party’s 2008 presidential nomination, losing to former Congressman Bob Barr at the National Convention.  Gravel remained with the party until 2010 when he rejoined the Democrats.

On his Facebook page yesterday, 2020 Libertarian presidential candidate Adam Kokesh discussed his exclusion from part five of the Libertarian Party of Kentucky presidential debate being held later today (Saturday):
