Jonathan Narcisse: Back in the Saddle

A former member of the Des Moines school board, Jonathan Narcisse declined to run in the Democratic primary against incumbent Governor Chet Culver in March. It appears he has changed his mind, and is now running as the “Iowa Party” candidate for the position. The Des-Moines Register comments:

Narcisse collected almost 1,900 signatures from 47 different counties, he said.

Publisher and community activist Jonathan Narcisse announced on December 24 that he would form an exploratory committee to gauge support for a possible bid for governor of Iowa. While Narcisse is a former co-chair of the local Democratic Party in Iowa’s largest county he has not decided whether to challenge incumbent Democrat Chet Culver in a primary or run as an independent.… Read more ...
