Kotlikoff ends Reform Party presidential bid

In the aftermath of the Americans Elect board decision not to nominate a 2012 presidential ticket, the former senior economist of President Ronald Reagan’s Council of Economic Advisers and current Boston University economics professor Laurence Kotlikoff, who had sought that organization’s nomination, said in an e-mail that he now no longer wishes to pursue the Reform Party presidential nomination, which he elected to seek last month.… Read more ...

Kotlikoff to Seek Reform Party Presidential Nomination

Boston University economics professor Laurence Kotlikoff has decided to seek the presidential nomination of the Reform Party.  Kotlikoff is also running for the Americans Elect nomination, and is currently fourth among declared candidates in supporters, behind former Louisiana governor Buddy Roemer (another Reform Party candidate), former Salt Lake City mayor Rocky Anderson, and activist Michealene Risley.… Read more ...

Roemer has not contacted Anderson or Kotlikoff about Americans Elect VP nom

It was reported at the end of April that the campaign of former Louisiana governor and current leading Americans Elect and Reform Party presidential candidate Buddy Roemer had complied a list of 23 potential running mates.

Economics Professor Joins Americans Elect Race

Laurence Kotlikoff is an Economics professor at Boston University, but he is now also a third party presidential candidate. Kotlikoff announced that he intends to seek the nomination of the Americans Elect party.

“I think I may be the first economist to run for president,” Kotlikoff said. “We see economists now running Greece and Italy.
