Should 5,000 of those be deemed valid, Gary Johnson will be on the Ohio ballot in November as an independent candidate – independent because Ohio raised its ballot access standards in 2013, causing the Libertarian Party to lose state recognition.”… Read more ...

We are listed for the four statewide races and the 5th SD (Gigi Bowman) and 37th (John Kevin Wilson) and 139th (Mark Glogowski) ADs.
Taking lessons apparently from Republicans in Illinois , Ohio , and Oregon , several Republicans in New York have filed challenges to some of the candidates’ petitions in order to keep Libertarians off the ballot.

The New York Libertarian Party must get 50,000 votes or more for Gubernatorial candidate in 2014, if it does it will have statewide ballot access. This will allow the Libertarian Party to hold Democrats and Republicans allowable in every race around the state while providing New Yorkers an alternative.
