The Libertarian Party of Washington State replaced their entire executive committee at their annual convention on May 31, 2014. The new officers are:

Sean Treasure, Treasurer

Steven Nielson, Secretary

Update from the Libertarian Party of Washington Convention

We had our LPWA Convention on Saturday April 20th in Bellingham near the Canadian border.
We had 118 attendees sign in and of those 12 new members join the party that day. This is almost 3 times the attendance as last year. As the newly appointed Executive Director (Feb 1st) our focus has been outreach.

Executive Director of LPWA Quoted in US News Re: Lawsuit Against Florist Refusing to Decorate Gay Wedding

Washington state Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced Tuesday a lawsuit against an eastern Washington florist who refused to provide flowers for a same-sex marriage ceremony. Some conservative and libertarian supporters of same-sex marriage say it’s a bad move.

According to a press release from Ferguson’s office, Barronelle Stutzman, the owner of Arlene’s Flowers, violated the state’s Consumer Protection Act in March when she informed a longtime client she would not provide flowers for his ceremony.… Read more ...
