In an apparent response to large anti-police protests and the shooting deaths of two patrolmen, New York City cops are making fewer arrests and writing fewer citations.

The New York Board of Elections has certified the ballot. The statewide (non-federal offices) candidates are listed here .
We are listed for the four statewide races and the 5th SD (Gigi Bowman) and 37th (John Kevin Wilson) and 139th (Mark Glogowski) ADs.
Taking lessons apparently from Republicans in Illinois , Ohio , and Oregon , several Republicans in New York have filed challenges to some of the candidates’ petitions in order to keep Libertarians off the ballot.

The New York Libertarian Party must get 50,000 votes or more for Gubernatorial candidate in 2014, if it does it will have statewide ballot access. This will allow the Libertarian Party to hold Democrats and Republicans allowable in every race around the state while providing New Yorkers an alternative.

The Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island LP chapters pulled together to get a record eight candidates on the ballot as Libertarians for various local offices throughout the nation’s largest city this November.
