Louisiana state representative runs for Congress as independent

The Hill reports Louisiana Democratic state representative Michael Jackson, who challenged Democratic Rep. Don Cazayoux for renomination in Louisiana’s Sixth U.S. House District, has qualified to run for the seat as an independent. Jackson, who is black, “took 43 percent of the vote against Cazayoux in the one-third black district.”… Read more ...
