Ken Armstrong Ends 2020 Presidential Bid to Seek VP Nomination

Former Coast Guard Officer Ken Armstrong withdrew from the race for the Libertarian Party’s presidential nomination Wednesday with the emergence of Congressman Justin Amash as a contender.  Armstrong has now launched a campaign for the vice presidential nomination.

Known for his booming voice on the campaign trail, Armstrong, who previously served as executive director of Habitat for Humanity in Hawaii, and as a member of the Honolulu County Neighborhood Board, took his libertarian message to various debates and party meetings. … Read more ...

Nick Sarwark Not Seeking Re-election for LNC Chair, Fueling VP Speculation

Libertarian National Committee chairman Nick Sarwark mentioned on Twitter today that he will not seek a fourth term for chair at the 2020 Libertarian National Convention.  Sarwark was first elected to the position in 2014 and re-elected in 2016 and 2018.  Presidential candidate Adam Kokesh speculated Sarwark would soon be announced as the running mate for Congressman Justin Amash, the latest entrant into the presidential race and frontrunner for the nomination.… Read more ...

Max Abramson No Longer a Libertarian Party Member, Not Running for President

New Hampshire Representative Max Abramson is no longer running for President and apparently has left the Libertarian Party as well. Thanks to sparkey for the link.

Chairman Sarwark Provides Update on Coronavirus’ Effect on the Libertarian National Convention

The World Health Organization has declared the coronavirus outbreak as a pandemic.  Over 1,000 people in the United States have tested positive and 37 have died.  Events such as South by Southwest in Austin have cancelled to reduce the spread of the virus.  This raises the question of whether the May 21-25 Libertarian National Convention in Austin will proceed as normal.… Read more ...

Across the United States, COVID-19 testing supplies are being rationed, resulting in patients being refused testing or experiencing long delays for test results.
