Danny Panzella Arrested for Handing Out Flyers During NYC Terrorism Drill

Danny Panzella, Chairman of the Staten Island Libertarian Party, was arrested yesterday while handing out flyers during a drill at Pennsylvania Station in New York. The NYPD were releasing perfluoroacarbon gas in several NYC stations to study air flow in the event of bioterrorism. Mr. Panzella and some members of the newly organized Peaceful Streets Project made up some flyers and were handing them out when security guards at the station arrested him.… Read more ...

Kristin Davis will run for Mayor of NYC if Eliot Spitzer runs


To mark the third anniversary of her arrest Ex-Madam Kristin Davis who supplied high priced call girls for former Governor Eliot Spitzer said she will jump in the 2013 New York City Mayor’s Race if the former Governor, now a CNN talk show host makes a bid.

Davis filed 18,000 signatures to get on the ballot last year, participated in the televised debate between Democrat Andrew Cuomo and Republican Carl Paladino last year and got nearly 30,000 votes in the race for Governor running on a libertarian platform.… Read more ...

Underdog group within the UFT union proposes interesting voting strategy

In New York City, the United Federation of Teachers union declined to endorse a candidate for Mayor. Though, a group within the UFT, called ICE, has made an interesting endorsement: They ask members to vote for anybody on the ballot, except incumbent Mayor Bloomberg. Because there are 8 candidates on the ballot — including 5 running solely on a third party line — that endorsement should help the numbers for third parties.… Read more ...
