Wisconsin Libertarians Prepare for 2016 Campaigns

Wisconsin Libertarians are preparing for the election year, with a series of candidates already launching their 2016 campaigns for State Legislature and Congress.

Jordan Hansen is working with a group of like-minded local supporters to mount a grassroots bid for the 54th Assembly district in Oshkosh. “It’s time somebody stands up against two-party politics, cronyism and corruption in government,” he told reporters at his announcement.Read more ...

Libertarians hold sit-in to help defeat Madison, WI proposal to prohibit sitting in public for too long

On Tuesday, the Madison City Council was due to vote on a proposal from Mayor Paul Soglin, that would limit use of public benches downtown to one hour and prohibit people from lying on benches, public sidewalks or right-of-ways for most of the day and night. Phil Anderson declares candidacy for US Senate, vows to fight for Peace, Prosperity and Privacy for all Americans

Phil Anderson exploring Libertarian run for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin

Phil Anderson of Fitchburg, WI has announced his formation of an exploratory committee to possibly run for Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate seat in 2016, in an election currently expected to feature a rematch between incumbent first-term Republican Ron Johnson and Democratic former Senator Russ Feingold.

Anderson is a realtor and the general manager of Green Cab of Madison, a company which offers environmentally-friendly hybrid cabs. … Read more ...
