Public Policy Polling has released a new poll in the state of Virginia including native Virgil Goode, nominee of the Constitution Party. Goode garnered 9%, an increase since PPP’s previous poll back in May.
If Virgil Goode gets on the ballot in Virginia it could spell trouble for Romney.
Public Policy Polling has the following results in their first national poll of 2012:
Ron Paul matches Romney’s performance against Obama, also trailing by 5 points at 47-42. Beyond those two Newt Gingrich trails by 7 at 49-42, Rick Santorum has an 8 point deficit at 50-42, and Rick Perry trails by 11 points at 51-40.

The Illinois Senate race continues to be very close, but because Mark Kirk is doing a better job of consolidating his base than Alexi Giannoulias is he’s taken a small lead after trailing by 2 points on PPP’s previous two polls of the race.
Following a poll on the Senate race in Illinois that had the Green candidate at 14 percent, a poll released today from PPP shows Green candidate for governor Rich Whitney – who received about 10.5 percent of the vote in 2006 – garnering 9 percent of the vote. … Read more ...
