Outgoing Reform Party chairman David Collison addresses the Reform Party’s postponement of its presidential nomination

On July 30th, 2016, Richard Winger of Ballot Access News reported that the delegates at the Reform Party’s national convention in Bohemia, New York voted to postpone the selection of the party’s presidential nominee to August 8th. When asked for comment, outgoing Reform Party chairman David Collison responded with the following statement:

Ivanka Trump Wins Reform Party Primary Election

According to the New York City Board of Elections, businesswoman Ivanka Trump, daughter of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, won the Reform Party’s primary election for U.S. Congress in New York’s 12th Congressional District.

Trump received 2 write-in votes.  Three other candidates each received one.

Martin Babinec wins Reform Party congressional primary in New York as a write-in candidate, defeating a State Assemblywoman

ATPR:  MadisonCountyCourier.com reported on June 29th, 2016 that Martin Babinec secured the Reform Party ballot line for Congress in New York’s  22nd congressional district via a write-in campaign. Babinec defeated the only candidate on the ballot, Claudia Tenney (who did, however, win the GOP nomination; New York permits fusion voting); according to the New York SOS Elections website, the “Opportunity to Ballot” (the write-in option Babinec was pursuing) received 18 votes, or 78.26% of the total.Read more ...

Reform Party USA Prepared to Sue Kristin Davis Over Party Name

Dr. Tom Stevens, a libertarian activist in New York, reports that the Reform Party USA chairman, David Collison, is threatening to sue Kristen Davis over her planned use of the Reform Party ballot line in New York.

Liberty Lion has obtained a copy of a private letter dated June 29, 2010 sent to Kristin Davis from David Collison in which he demands she change the name of her proposed party or face a lawsuit in federal court.

Kristin Davis To Run Under Reform Party Label

Kristen Davis is a candidate for Governor this year in New York. She has achieved some level of public recognition because she is the ex-madam who came to fame during ex-Governor Eliot Spitzer’s sex scandal. Davis wanted to be nominated by the Libertarian Party earlier this year.
