on Friday, according to an email obtained by The Washington Post, WDBJ’s news director, Kelly Zuber, wrote to the McAuliffe and Cuccinelli campaigns, “We have received quite a bit of negative reaction to the exclusion” of Sarvis.
Late last month, I e-mailed the campaign of 2013 Virginia Libertarian Party gubernatorial nominee Robert Sarvis for a joint Wikinews/IPR interview. Candidate for Governor
Usually, Libertarians who poll high in the early days of a campaign find their poll numbers dropping in late September and October. That doesn’t seem to be the case with Libertarian Robert Sarvis’ campaign for governor of Virginia.

On Sept. 30, Newsmax/Zogby Polling released a poll of the gubernatorial race in Virginia. The race now appears to be nearly tied, with Democrat Terry McAuliffe, a former chairman of the national Democratic Party, leading Republican Ken Cuccinelli, the current attorney general of Virginia, by a margin of 32.5 percent to 32.4 percent.… Read more ...

What will libertarian candidate for Virginia governor Rob Sarvis’ legacy be? Will he be remembered as a hero for stepping up to the plate, or known several years from now by Republicans and effected libertarians as a person whose sole opportunistic achievement was diverting enough votes from the Republican candidate to elect a Democrat?
