The mantra, indeed the motto, of the Free and Equal Election Foundation is “More Voices, More Choices.” In the interest in living up to that high creed we (the list signatories of this petition) would like to request that the Free and Equal Election Foundation set the criteria for receiving invitation to their Open Presidential Debate at the United We Stand Fest on October the 25th in Boulder, Colorado.
Darcy Richardson, a political historian and IPR contributor who recently sought the Reform Party’s presidential nomination, was interviewed by the Ric Bratton of TWIA (This Week in America) regarding third party influence in this year’s presidential election. Richardson mentioned that he believes there is a possibility Jill Stein will earn a vote total ten times higher than she received during her 2012 run and possibly even eclipse Gary Johnson for the coveted third place spot this year.… Read more ...

Former vice presidential candidate and retired U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman visited Roanoke College on Wednesday night to discuss the partisan politics of Congress, which he feels are detrimental to the country and said the country needs more strong third-party candidates.
He also said there should be a “strong emergence of a third party in this country.”

Oregon has released new registration data, reflecting the August 15 totals. Compared with the tally of June 15, the Working Families Party has increased its registration 27%, and now has .40% of the state’s registered voters.
Rep. Jason Saine (R-Lincolnton) introduced House Bill 794 Voter Freedom Act of 2013 today to dramatically lower the ballot access barrier for new political parties and unaffiliated candidates.

On February 26th, the Democratic and Republican primaries for the special congressional election to replaced disgraced former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. were held. Robin Kelly won the Democratic primary with 51% of the vote, while Republican Paul McKinley held a 23 vote lead in a race still uncalled. The district is heavily black and Democratic, and the Democratic nominee is all but assured of victory in the general election.… Read more ...
