Libertarian Party Reiterates Demand for Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp to ‘Close Immediately’

Whitney Bilyeu, chair of the Libertarian Party’s National Committee, issued the following statement which reiterates the LP’s long-held position that the Guantanamo Bay detention facility should be immediately closed:

Last month the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing regarding the status of the Guantanamo Bay detention camp, reviewing its nearly two decade history and the current plans for the site.

LNC Expected To Fill Vacant Secretary Position at 04 Dec 2021 In-Person Meeting; Seeking Applicants Now

Following the removal by the Judicial Committee of the previously suspended secretary of the Libertarian National Committee, a proposal was made by LNC Vice-Chair Ken Molleman to leave the position vacant and to “let the delegates decide” at the next in-person convention in Reno.

Mr. Moellman posted the following yesterday (14 Nov 2021):

LNC Taps Whitney Bilyeu of Texas as New Chair

The Libertarian National Committee has announced that Whitney Bilyeu of Texas will serve as the new Chair of the LNC.

“Her natural ability to lead and her drive for excellence make her an outstanding choice for the position,” the LNC said via press release.
