Tax Day Becomes “ROOT Media Day”- Libertarian 2008 Vice Presidential Nominee Celebrates Tax Day Tea Parties with National Media Appearances from Coast to Coast

Root Makes Multiple FOX Business Appearances

Root Reports Live from Nevada Tea Party for Nationally-Syndicated “Jerry Doyle Show”

Las Vegas, NV-April 14, 2009– 2008 Libertarian Vice Presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root is the only politician in America who can claim to be a small businessman, home-school dad, and citizen politician. That is the perfect pedigree for tax day protest. With taxpayer Tea Party events scheduled across the country, not surprisingly, Root has a busy day on Wednesday April 15th. He will start the day as a guest on Fox Business Network’s national morning show “Money for Breakfast” with host Alexis Glick. Root will appear in the “All-Wayne segment” at 8:05 AM EST with Wayne Rogers, the former TV star of M*A*S*H turned CEO and Wall Street economic guru.

From there Root will be a guest on multiple radio shows. He then heads to Nevada’s Tax Day Tea Party where he will give a speech to what is expected to be an overflow crowd. Root will not only be a speaker at the event- but a reporter too. Root will report live from the event for the nationally-syndicated “Jerry Doyle Show” (the 7th ranked radio talk show in America with 3.5 million listeners).

From there Root heads back to the TV studio for another FOX Business Network appearance on “Scoreboard” with host David Asman in the 7 PM EST hour. Root will report on the success of the Nevada Tax Day Tea Party and other tax protests across the country.

Root appeared earlier this week on CTV, Canada’s Business News Network to explain to our neighbors up north how Obama’s tax and spend policies are bankrupting America and leading to nationwide taxpayer protest.

Root is the author of a new book to be released in Spring 2009 by Wiley & Sons Publishers entitled:
The Conscience of a Libertarian:
Empowering the Citizen Revolution with God, Guns, Gambling & Tax Cuts!

It’s hard to read this and not conclude that Wayne Root is one of the most productive people in this movement.

    My Prediction:

Wayne Root is not doing this for the good of libertariansim, nor the Libertarian Party.

He’s doing it for the good of Wayne Allen Root.

    Just watch and see.

Because politician is the term for one who practices politics, which one who hopes to get elected must do.

Calling yourself a “statesman” requires the same sort of personality as calling yourself a “genius”. It’s just not done.

  3. Eternaverse April 14, 2009

Why would someone, especially someone who claims to be libertarian, call themselves a politician? I’d think it’s kind of an insult. At least say “statesman” or something.

  4. John C Jackson April 14, 2009

Yes, Libertarian- all about God and Guns!

Root does a lot of stuff. He tries. He’s probably a nice guy. I’ll give him that. He’s like one of those kids that gets a decent grade for effort but misses the mark.

Root and tea-bagging seem to be an inseparable duality.

Another Root release about Tax Day

Wayne Allyn Root to Speak at Nevada Tax Day Tea Party

Las Vegas, NV-April 13, 2009– 2008 Libertarian Vice Presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root will address the crowd at the Las Vegas, Nevada Tax Day Tea Party on Wednesday, April 15th. The event has been organized and sponsored by TEA (Taxed Enough Already) and Citizen Outreach Foundation. Root is a regular guest and political commentator on FOX News, FOX Business Network, and nationally syndicated radio talk shows such as “Savage Nation” with host Michael Savage, “The Jerry Doyle Show” and “The Mancow Show” with host Mancow Muller. Root is also the author of a new book coming out on July 4th entitled:

    “The Conscience of a Libertarian:
Empowering the Citizen Revolution with God, Guns, Gambling, School Choice & Tax Cut!”

The Nevada Tea Party rally will be held from Noon to 2 PM (with protest march afterwards) at Sunset Park in Henderson, NV (Eastern Ave & Sunset near the airport). Root will address the crowd at 1:30 PM. Other speakers include Herman Caine, former Chairman of Godfather’s Pizza, author, FOX News business commentator, and conservative talk radio host. Susane Crawford, the Tax Day TEA Party Director will host the event.

Root said of the event, “Up until now liberal causes have dominated protests in the USA. Do you know why? Because conservatives work for a living. We too busy running our own businesses and can’t afford to take time off to protest. It’s precisely the same reason that talk radio is dominated by conservatives- they are the ones in their cars going to work! That changes forever on Wednesday. I predict a massive turnout at Tax Day Tea Parties across the USA. And these demonstrations will really mean something- because the protestors are taking valuable time off from running their busy lives and businesses. It’s time for fiscal conservatives and Libertarians to take back our economy and country from those that want to damage business, destroy capitalism, and redistribute wealth. And the most important Tea Party rally in the country will be in Nevada- the state where our constitution bans income taxes. God Bless the great state of Nevada.”

I think that despite his flaws, Wayne Root really has gone ahead and proven himself to be a valuable member of the Libertarian team.
Most of those flaws are simply in bringing him up to speed ideology-wise. It’s a learning process, and one that takes many of us decades. Running for the presidential nomination so early into that process was, in my opinion, a bad move. He’s getting better though, it’s clear that he IS learning more and more philosophically every day, and it’s also clear that he really gives a crap and is going out of his way to put himself and our name out there.

    I applaud the guy.

What day isn’t all about Root when it’s Root talking?

  9. robert capozzi April 14, 2009

hmm, I guess some critics can find fault in just about ANYTHING. Root’s doing good works here, and in return? Scorn?

How can we miss him, or even grow to respect him, if he won’t go away?

    Oh Puleeeze!
