Howie Hawkins Wins Texas Primary

The Green Party of Texas held a primary today using approval voting.  Longtime Green Party activist and co-founder Howie Hawkins won with 80 percent approval, more than double his nearest opponent. The result earns Hawkins 20 of Texas’ 26 delegates up for grabs in the primary.

Chairman Sarwark Provides Update on Coronavirus’ Effect on the Libertarian National Convention

The World Health Organization has declared the coronavirus outbreak as a pandemic.  Over 1,000 people in the United States have tested positive and 37 have died.  Events such as South by Southwest in Austin have cancelled to reduce the spread of the virus.  This raises the question of whether the May 21-25 Libertarian National Convention in Austin will proceed as normal.… Read more ...

Libertarian files for Parker County sheriff

Another candidate has filed in the race for Parker County sheriff and Russell Hess, 48, Libertarian, said he has a plan to bring the county together and save taxpayer dollars.

Hess filed on Nov. 18 and has been self-employed for the majority of his life.

Howie Hawkins Campaign Applauds Green Party Achieving Ballot Status In Texas

Hawkins Plans to be on 50 State Ballots and Washington, DC

The Howie Hawkins Campaign, which is seeking the Green Party nomination for president, applauded the Green Party of Texas for achieving ballot status. Governor Greg Abbott signed HB-2504 which gave the Green Party ballot access because Martina Salinas achieved more than 2% of the statewide vote total in her 2016 race for Railroad Commissioner.… Read more ...
