Independent Political Report is owned and published by the Outsider Media Foundation, a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit news organization located in New Hampshire. Launched in 2023, the Foundation supports this work as part of its broader mission to expand public understanding of political activity in areas often underrepresented by traditional news coverage.

Jordan Willow Evans
Managing Editor
Jordan Willow Evans is the managing editor of Independent Political Report and the executive director of the Outsider Media Foundation. She is a consultant and policy analyst based in Goffstown, New Hampshire, where she also serves as an elected member of the town’s Library Board of Trustees.
Jordan has appeared on ABC News, BNT 1, Sky News, VICE World News, and RT. Her opinion writing has been published in the Telegram & Gazette, Houston Chronicle, The Advocate, and the Kansas City Star, among other outlets. She has also presented on the relationship between personal and political identity at the Harvard Kennedy School and the New England Historical Association.
She is originally from Charlton, Massachusetts, where she previously served as an elected library trustee, constable, and member of her regional school committee.

George D. J. Phillies, D. Sc.,
Editorial Director
George Phillies is a full-time writer and retired physics professor based in Worcester, Massachusetts. He lives with his cat and maintains extensive technical, science fiction, and board wargaming libraries, along with large flower gardens.
He is the author of several books on libertarian politics, including Surely We Can Do Better, Libertarian Renaissance, Funding Liberty, and Stand Up for Liberty. Phillies has twice been a candidate for federal office and previously served for a decade as an officer of the Libertarian Association of Massachusetts, including terms as both treasurer and chair. He also co-founded the Pioneer Valley Libertarian Association, the state’s oldest continuously operating libertarian political organization.
Phillies edited the Pioneer Valley Libertarian Association’s monthly publications for nearly two decades and continues to edit multiple science fiction magazines, including Eldritch Science, Tightbeam, The National Fantasy Fan, The N3F Review of Books, and the FanActivity Gazette. He currently serves as president of the National Fantasy Fan Federation and AHIKS, a longstanding international board wargaming society.
In addition to his political and editorial work, Phillies has written eight science fiction novels and numerous nonfiction works, including textbooks on board game design, physics, and polymer science. He is also the author of more than 170 scientific research papers, primarily in light scattering spectroscopy and polymer dynamics.

Joseph G. Buchman, Ph.D.,
Contributing Editor
Joe Buchman has served as a contributing editor to Independent Political Report since 2011. His work focuses on how emerging technologies influence voter behavior and democratic systems.
A retired professor of marketing and telecommunications, Buchman holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University’s Media School, an MBA in finance from Purdue University, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana University.
He has been active in libertarian politics for many years, including service as chair of the Libertarian Party’s national audit committee, interim chair of its platform committee, and a member of the New Hampshire Investigatory Committee. He also served as archivist for the David Nolan papers, which he arranged to be donated to the Library of Congress. Buchman has run for public office multiple times, including campaigns for the U.S. House, Utah State Senate, and Utah House of Representatives, and previously served as secretary and chair of the Utah Libertarian Party.
Outside of politics, Buchman is an adventure traveler and longtime participant in the Burning Man community. He has crossed the Gobi Desert, observed seven total solar eclipses, and traveled most of the U.S. Interstate Highway System. He serves on the design team for the Burning Man Census and as a staff member with the event’s Department of Public Works. His additional media and cultural work includes roles with the Sundance, Napa Valley, and Sonoma film festivals, as well as serving on the board of the Hollywood Disclosure Alliance. In 2013, he moderated the National Press Club’s Citizen Hearing on extraterrestrial and UFO disclosure in Washington, D.C.
