With the Presidential vote in, it looks like Gary Johnson failed to be a “spoiler” for either Romney or Obama in a single state. Complete returns from Florida may change that, but in every other state either Obama or Romney won with at least 50% of the vote.

Indiana: Libertarian Candidate Dumped By State Party

For lying during the application process about a previous criminal history, a Libertarian Party candidate for office has been dumped by the state party in Indiana.

During the application process, potential candidates are asked if they have any prior criminal history. Bowman indicated he did not.

Upon further investigation by the party, it was discovered Bowman did have a criminal record which includes felony indictments in Tippecanoe County.

Jon Huntsman and Evan Bayh Rumored to Run for Americans Elect Nomination

Richard Winger of Ballot Access News is currently reporting on a rumor, which he received from an Americans Elect insider, that Jon Huntsman and Evan Bayh will form a presidential ticket to run with the American Elect ticket. Indiana Jury Convicts Secretary of State of Registering and Voting in Precinct in Which He Didn’t Live; LP Calls for Resignation

At 2:28 a.m. on February 4, an Indiana criminal jury convicted Secretary of State Charlie White of registering and voting at an address which wasn’t his real residence. See this story. Update on Candidates for the Green Party Presidential Nomination

Green Party Watch held a presidential poll with the following results:

1,792 votes cast, Jill Stein received 1,223 of them, or 68%. Roseanne Barr, who had just entered the race in the last week, picked up 526 votes, or 29%. There were 35 votes for Kent Mesplay, and 8 votes for Harley Mikkelson

GPW reports that Roseanne Barr is very active on Twitter, and had tweeted a challenge to Bill Maher, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert to have both herself and Jill Stein on their programs.… Read more ...
