Politico: Think You’ve Got It Locked, Hillary? Meet Jill Stein.

Jill Stein

By Bill Scher, Politico.com, June 19th, 2016:

After an anxiety-inducing and divisive primary, Democrats are starting to breathe easier. Bernie Sanders, while not formally conceding to Hillary Clinton, has turned his fire on Donald Trump. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the darling of the left before Sanders, has effusively endorsed Clinton. So at last the presumptive nominee can hope to gather in all those unhappy Bernie voters and lead a united Democratic Party in the fall, right?

Not if Dr. Jill Stein has anything to say about it.

The longtime Massachusetts environmental activist and presumptive Green Party nominee (the Green convention is not until August 4) is hungrily eyeing disgruntled Sanders voters—many of whom have been saying that even now, with the nomination all but locked up, they still won’t vote for Hillary. And Stein appears to know her audience, declaring on CNN right after the California primary that she represents “a plan B … to continue to fight that revolution.”

She is also undaunted by the Democratic coalescing around Clinton. Asked in an interview with Politico Magazine this week whether the Warren endorsement presents a problem for her, Stein suggested that the Massachusetts senator lacks the progressive credibility to sway Sanders voters: “Elizabeth Warren has very good proposals regarding Wall Street, but she really has not been leading the charge for single-payer health care … and is pretty much a war hawk in alignment with Hillary Clinton.” (Stein is not the first voice on the left to criticize Warren’s foreign policy record as militaristic.)

A vote for Clinton is a vote for genocide, and a vote for letting banks gamble with your money so she can line her pockets.

Trump, by the way, is basically a Dem who supports Democrat wars (Iraq in 2000, Libya) and has their same economic policy. Trump’s a big fan of Hillary, but also realizes that his “type” could only appeal to conservatives, en masse.

He promises to continue a policy of torture and killing innocent civilians, which we have under the “Democrats.”

Clinton/Trump/Weld are no choice at all. Vote Stein or someone better than those three anyway.

No, Dr. Stein, you will NOT do to Hillary Clinton in 2016 what Ralph Nader did to Al Gore in 2000. You will NOT siphon off enough votes from Clinton to throw the November election to Donald Trump.

Trump is an extremely dangerous neo-fascist megalomaniac, whose clearly demonstrated intolerance toward Latinos, Muslims and women — to say nothing of his racist birther attacks on President Obama and his Mussolini-like bombast — makes him TOTALLY UNFIT to be the 45th President of the United States — or any other president in the future.

That hard-core 25 percent of Bernie Sanders supporters who vow that they’ll never support Clinton in November have the same ideological tunnel vision as their equally hard-core Trump-supporting counterparts. They are too blinded by their ideological puritanism to look at the BIG PICTURE and see the grave danger that America faces if Trump becomes president.

They are committing the same fatal, “see-no-evil, hear-no-evil, speak-no-evil” refusal to recognize Trump as an existential neo-fascist threat to America and the world that many Italians made toward Mussolini’s rise to power in the early 1920s — not to mention those Germans who refused to see the megalomaniac that Hitler was during HIS rise to power a decade later.

“Those who fail to learn from the past are condemned to repeat it,” warned the Spanish-American philosopher George Santayana. Even a deeply flawed Hillary Clinton is preferable to a proven arch-enemy of the people that Donald Trump is. Progressives must not repeat the fatal mistake they made in 2000. There’s far too much at stake in this election for that fatal mistake to be repeated.

Elizabeth Warren, love her as I do, is a coward attacking Trump only for the specific weaknesses that Clinton doesn’t have, and who plays politics regarding foreign policy and “lesser evils” (much like Sanders, unfortunately); thus her endorsements must be disregarded. She knows Clinton well enough:
