The Chicago Tribune says Ralph Nader’s independent presidential campaign “says it will file more than 50,000 candidacy petition signatures with the state Board of Elections on Monday –double what’s required to appear on the November ballot. In the words of the Nader/Gonzalez campaign, ‘This is good news for voters who want a choice that matters in the 2008 election and an agenda for numerous new directions for our country that a majority of Illinois voters support.'” Nader was not on the Illinois ballot in 2004, but received “slightly more than 3,500 votes in Illinois as a write-in.”

Well, Nader is already on two ballots he wasn’t on in 2004 (AZ and IL). McKinney is are looking in better shape ballot access wise than Cobb, too.
How did they get that many? Where is the extra money coming in from this year?

You’ve to give Nader/Gonzalez some real credit. They are way ahead of where Nader/Camejo were in ’04, ballot access and money. And I suspect as it becomes more and more apparent Obama is a corporate hack, I suspect the N/G campaign will strengthen.
