Louisiana state representative runs for Congress as independent

The Hill reports Louisiana Democratic state representative Michael Jackson, who challenged Democratic Rep. Don Cazayoux for renomination in Louisiana’s Sixth U.S. House District, has qualified to run for the seat as an independent. Jackson, who is black, “took 43 percent of the vote against Cazayoux in the one-third black district.”

Is that a diss, Trent? Do you Wanna Be Startin’ Something? Why You Wanna Trip on Me? I guess it’s just Human Nature to be jealous.

Wow GE. You are *truly* gifted.

Trent – Come on, now! You should have said MJ’s entry into the race will make the Dem want to Scream. Unless Cassidy gets caught in bed with a dead Liberian Girl, his hold on the race will prove to be Unbreakable. No matter, Dem or Repugnican, they’re all just Smooth Criminals. I wish they all would just Leave Me Alone.

    Randall T. Hayes is correct.

Michael Jackson will poll at LEAST 5%. Bill Cassidy, the Republican, is going to take names.

But if this MJ, like the other, likes little boys, he should Keep it in the Closet.

It now only takes a plurality to win a Congressional race in Louisiana. Cazayoux won a special election in May with slightly less than 50% of the vote against a weakened Republican nominee and three other candidates. (Full Disclosure: I was one of those other candidates.)

Michael Jackson’s independent candidacy is very Bad news for the Democrats’ chances of holding this seat. Cazayoux’s Congressional career could soon be HIStory.

The simple issue of whether a candidate is Black or White will likely present a Dangerous scenario for the Dems.

The current Republican challenger is starting to look Invincible.

It would be a real Thriller if he won. Totally Off the Wall.
