Munger in at least two more debates

According to an update from his campaign, Dr. Michael Munger, the Libertarian candidate for Governor of North Carolina, has accepted an invitation to two upcoming televised debates:

UNC-TV will hold two gubernatorial debates, Sept 24 and Oct 8. Happily (and wisely), they have invited all three candidates for that office.

Mike has accepted the UNC-TV invitation and we are waiting to hear from the other candidates.

The terms seem to indicate that the debate will go forward if any two show up. That’s a good strategy by UNC-TV and a strong inducement for all to come.

The dates are Sept. 24 and October 8. Each will be an hour long, 8:00 PM until 9.

“I am delighted to accept,” Dr. Munger said, “and look forward to a vigorous and informative event for the voters.”

Dr. Munger was also invited to participate in an October 15th debate to be televised by the local ABC affiliate. The latest invitation comes fresh on the heels of Munger’s participation in a “shadow debate” on The Brad and Britt Show, a local morning radio program. The debate featured the Libertarian candidate providing his own responses to the previous night’s two-party only debate questions, and can be heard here.

If you haven’t checked in on Munger’s campaign website recently, this is a good opportunity, as the campaign’s web presence has recently been updated with a fresh design that provides a marked improvement in navigability and efficient presentation.
