Nothing, nothing. Go back to sleep.
No. What is your problem, young Theodore?
Was that sarcasm?
I stand corrected. Thank you, sir.
Actually, G.E., if you want to get literal “endorsement” simply means “approval or sanction”. Jillette clearly “endorsed” Barr’s statements and campaign. But endorsement in colloquial campaign usage assumes a vote for the candidate, so Jillette’s hedging certainly deflates the impact.
Mike – An endorsement is literally a statement that you intend to vote for a candidate. This was only a “probably” endorsement, no matter what he thinks of other candidates.
I thought it was weird. He was clearly gushing in his approval for Barr. But only a “probably” vote? Does he mean he will probably not vote at all?
It’s strange that he seemed to have no reservations about Barr — he was effusive in his praise for him; almost weepy. And yet he could only muster a “maybe.”
I remember his endorsement of Badnarik. It was much more forthright.
Maybe it can be just the only good thing he’s said about any of the candidates…
???
Endorsement?
I watched this… He said he would “probably” vote for him. That’s not much of an endorsement.
Did you watch the video the link leads to? I like his defining of the two parties as the parties of “hate” and “fear”.
I’ve been watching Bullshit! Season 5 and I’m always impressed with Penn’s solid application of libertarian principles.
